Avril's P.O.V
She lunged at me trying to bite me. What the fuck? "Mum! It's Avrill. Stop it!" I said and tried pushing her off.
She tried biting me again. Her teeth almost close to ripping my skin. I closed my eyes giving up already. "Bang!" what the hell was that? A gun shot. I opened my eyes and saw Cody holding a gun. I looked at my side and saw my mum's lifeless body.
"Are you okay?" Cody asked me as he sat near me.I quickly hugged him. Squeezing him hard.
"Thank you for saving me" I kissed his cheek. That made him blush. I looked at the room and spotted no Blake and Ivory. "Cody?"
"Yeah?" he answered.
"Where's Blake and Ivory?" I asked him.
He didn't respond and I asked him again. "Where's Blake and Ivory?"
He looked at me and tears started forming in his eyes. I have a bad feeling about this. "They're both dead"
I looked up at him and hugged him tight. "You're kidding right? Right?"
I started to cry and he wiped my tears.
"I wish I was but I wasn't." he said quietly hugging me back.
We sat there crying softly. "Come on we better go find a safer place. We caused quite a ruckus."
He held out a hand and I gladly took it. I noticed something behind him. "Shit! Get away!" I screamed at him and pushed him to the side and brought out my gun. I aimed it at the infected but noticed it was my dad.
"Dad.. I'm sorry" I said as I slowly pulled the tringger. He fell with a thud. I grabbed Cody's hand before running out of the house.
We ran towards an abandoned looking house. It was boarded up but unlocked. We opened the door slowly as we stepped in darkness engulfed me.
