One man told us that he saw the victim swerve all over thinking she was drunk then police officers found several bottles of alcohol left in the passengers seat." I shut the tv off as a tear rolled down my face, it was warm from my mixed feelings of anger and depression.
I ran to my room, past my sister who was in confusion. She followed me there.
I tried slamming the door but she put her foot in between to stop it.
"Kaylee what's wrong "
"Mmm-oo-mm she she she's.."
"COMMON SPIT IT OUT"
"MOMS DEAD SHES FUCKING DEAD" I shouted as kaitlyn changed her expression.
Kaitlyn is a gang banger. She smokes, drinks, steals, so much stuff that I never want to fall into doing. She's known as clever Bc she comes up with these "oh so great ideas".
~5 days later~
Ring ring my phone went. It was the police.
"Hel-lo?" I answered in a shakey voice.
"Hello miss Matthews right?"
"Yes this is she"
"Your sister has been put in prison for being caught gang banging. She was drunk and she murdered a young girl and her mother. "
"Oh my god. " I stood in silence. Honestly I didn't feel as bad as I probably should be. She deserves what she's done. Taking someone's life can't make up for anything.
"When will she be out?"
" well, it's up to the judges. But as of now, she's not leaving for minimum of 15 years." The officer said with a chaotic background.
"Oh ok. Thank you for telling me officer..."
"Matthews, I'm officer Matthews. "
"Oh that's funny we have the same last name haha" I said.
"Yea not really" He hung up after those words.
~16 years ago~
"CORY COMMON" my mother was yelling.
"I HAVE TO GET THE BABY TO THE HOSPITAL SHES COMING RIGHT NOW" She's talking about me.
"NO IM NOT GOING ANYWHERE YOI TAKE YOURSELF AND THE DAMN BABY ON YOUR OWN" he yelled back to her. Really showed how much he was excited for me to come huh?
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE DON'T EVER COME BACK I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AND YOU BETTER NOT EVEN TALK TO MY GIRLS"
"ALRIGHT FINE" my dad just walked out of the house, taking the car. The only car we had.
