Chapter one

"NO" I yell at my mum-"You cannot have seriously thought I would EVER agree to that".

"Vanessa Maria King, you will do as I say, you were supposed to find your mate at 16, but you DIDN'T, so I thought I would give you time, but hanging out with Mike and those, you have proven yourself NOT worthy of my patience"

"MUM, you do not know Mike, do not judge him based on rumors" 

"I KNOW HE IS THE SON OF THE MOST FEARED ALPHA IN THE STATE, AND I FOUND IT" She yells at me.

"found what?"

"I FOUND YOUR DRUGS VANESSA"

"Mum I am so sorry..." I say as tears start to stream down my face-"I swear I don't take them a lot, it's just ever since..." 

"you will travel to Louisiana, marry the Alpha's son, Jackson Davis, and you will not ever speak to Mike again"

"NO, Mum I have been in deep problems but you cannot be serious, i will find my mate, I feel it" i say trying to stay strong, she cannot actually mean this.

"YOUR MATE IS DEAD" My mum screams at me and I can feel anger building inside of me-"You will not ever find him, you will do as I say"

"MUM, I SWEAR TO THE MOON GODDESS, MY MATE IS NOT DEAD, HE IS JUST FAR AWAY, I PROMISE, PLEASE, DO NOT MAKE ME LEAVE YOU, I WILL NEVER MARRY JACKSON, I WILL NEVER RESPECT YOU EVER AGAIN IF YOU TRY TO FORCE ME"

"fine" she says calmly-"I give you a week to find your mate, one week and if not so help me god, I will make you marry Jackson"

"ok" I say bluntly before running out of the door after grabbing my cap. i run over to Mike's pack using my super speeds, he's the son of a feared Alpha, while me, well me and my mum are a part of a small pack consisting of maybe 15 people.

After a five minutes run I wait outside his pack's house without anything, I know he will be able to smell me, before I can even blink He is standing right in front of me.

"hi" He says before kissing me deeply, Oh yeah, me and Mike are kind of a thing, you see, his mate died some days after he found her and he thinks I think that my mate is dead, but I don't, i know I have a living mate, but I hang around Mike, he protects me, and he.. well he has tons of weed ETC, plus when i have him I know that I always have somewhere to go, call me mean, but I am looking out for myself, and I have feelings for him,i don't like him as much as he likes me, but i do, I like him .

"here" He says as he hands me a normal cigarette. I fire it and start smoking.

"is May here?" I ask, May is a close friend.

"no" he says and i just nod.

"not many people are home" He says smirking and I can tell he is indicating for us to.. you know, we already did it, he is the only one I have done it with, but I'm ok with him being my first, He is a nice guy, at least to me. i owe him my life since he saved mine.

"not now, I have to get going, I will be gone for a week, I can't explain but trust me, I will get back before you know it" i say putting a small smile on my face, i am not telling him about Jackson.

"why?" He asks.

"I will explain when I get home, but just trust me ok?"  

"Tell me why you have to go"

"I can't, trust me ok? I'll be back in no time" I say kissing him.

"I'll come" 

"NO"  I snap at him and he looks a little surprised.

"I will be back and when i do.." I smirk and start kissing his neck.

"ok, seven days, hurry" He says and I kiss him before leaving.

to be honest, I hate the idea of having a mate, someone you're bound to love forever, love isn't even real. You must be confused, I must love my mum right?

I care for her, but I could never love her again.

So I have a plan, I will find my mate, kiss him so his scent is over me,leave him, go back, tell my mum I found him and that I'm going back to stay with him, and then leave her, and never see either one of them again. smart right?

I run back home to find my mum isn't home,

yessss, thank you moon goddess.

I start packing and I am done fast since i'm not bringing lot of clothes, I grab the back pack and run outside and jump into my car and start driving without hesitating. I was never the strong one, but I have always been the best tracker, and I have a vague pull against where I believe my mate is. He isn't in my state, ohio, but he isn't that far away, I hope, the vague pull is against Pennsylvania and New York, and I live an hour from the border to Pennsylvania. haha new york, I guess my mate is the hybrid Alpha, I joke to myself as i chuckle.

oh yeah, the hybrid Alpha is the alpha of the most feared pack ever, Old blood, he is also the only hybrid in the world, Nobody knows what hybrid he is, he is werewolf and then what? Nobody knows, he never told anyone, and werewolfs are the only supernatural creature that exists, witches and vampires aren't real, anyway, the pack is placed in new york. It's supposed to be over a thousand people in the pack, i am pretty sure the whole thing is kinda overrated.

Everybody knows of him, He is the monster your parents tell you about, you grow up reading stories about him. He was tortured by his own father, beaten everyday, His father made him watch while he killed his mother for being to nice, he forced him to drink her blood, he would whip him with silver, and make him chew silver until his teeth broke, and that's what made him the cruel murderer he is today.

I grew hearing about the cruel stories about him, like how he murdered a mans family because the man didn't get his order right at a restaurant.

How he killed a 3 years old boy because he had murdered his whole pack alone and the boy was the sons alpha, so he killed him so he couldn't be an alpha.

How He had murdered his own father slowly cutting off an inch of his body every second until he was laying there in pieces, and how he then had giving in to the wolfs.

Or how he would 'order' people from his Beta just to kill them and how he would call it a 'stress reliever'.

now I believe these stories are bullshit, real life bullshit.

after three hours I decide it's enough for today and I park my car in the woods, I shift into my wolf and lay comfortable in the grass, I smell the vague smell of my mate, I can't tell what he smells like, it's to vague, I let out a sneeze and feel the air running through my fur.
