This is my first entry...let me start by explaining why I had to move in the first place.
My story starts like any other. I was the most popular girl in the 8th grade...I had everything. An amazing boyfriend, the best friends, and a good reputation.
One day I come home from school. I dropped my stuff and headed to the kitchen to make myself some cookies.
As I headed up stairs to call one of my best friend, I heard my mom call my name.
"Bella, can we please speak with you for a moment?"
I stopped in my tracks. Should I act like I didn't hear them...or should I play it cool.
I decided to play it cool and walked down with an innocent look on my face.
"Yes mam?"
"How was school, Bella?" My dad asked me.
"Same as usual, fun to hang out with my friends, but very stressful school work." I explained.
"We just want to say we are so proud
of you!" My mom said.
Why are they buttering me up...
"Thank you so much!" I said in a grateful tone.
"But we need to talk about some changes..." My mother said with uncertainty.
"What's wrong??" I asked with worry.
"You know how we always visit Miami, Florida every year? And how much you enjoy playing at the beach?" My mom explained.
"Well...we were wondering if you would permanently like to live down there. Your father has had the opportunity to become the CEO of a very big hotel business."
I was so shocked...I just stared in anger and disbelief.
Why would they do this to me...after they knew how much I loved it here in Rhode Island...
I started to cry and ran to my bedroom. I slammed the door shut, ignoring their calls, and flipped onto my bed. I was so heartbroken.
I heard a slight knock on my bedroom door.
"Please let me talk to you..." My mom said in a sweet, innocent tone.
"I don't want to leave...you know I have the perfect life up here..." My voice cracked as I almost started to cry.
As my mom waited outside my locked door, I let my tears slowly fall down my check.
I didn't hear her walk away, so I slowly got up and opened the door. Then, I ran back to my bed and dramatically flopped on it.
My mom followed me and sat down gently.
"Honey, I know this may be a big change. But this would help our family tremendously." She put her hand on my head. "And the only reason why we are doing this is because we know you are amazing at making friends. We also know that you love the beach and hanging out there. It will be so much fun! We can get a house close to the beach and everything."
"I mean, it sounds a little fun, but I just can't bear having to leave ALL of my friends behind." I said in a whiny voice.
My mom and I talked all night about the fun things to do and the school there.
I finally agreed to try it, if it would make my parents happy.
That was the worst decision of my life...
I hope you like my story so far! Please like and comment on any ideas you have!
