August 6 of 1945 was like any other day for America, kids playing in the backyard, farmers harvesting crop, and babies being cradled by their mothers. August's can be spent with a jacket and a hat but perfect if looking for the perfect fishing trip to plan for. Wind blowing leaves, sun shining ,for there was no gloominess found in the air. Bang the graceful sweet breeze found in the cheeks of young children disappeared. The earth shook as the lives of many flowed into the air, the world cried over the pain of it's loved ones gone. Japan weeps as it's life is brushed away in seconds. There Truman stands, as his heart beats out of his chest. Standing nervously the lives of his four nephews brush past his mind. Filled with more confidence he remembers why he is doing this, and puts his doubting behind him. Nodding his head in allowance he gives them permission to keep going.
