Chapter 3

~Silvers Pov~

"Release me at once!" I tried to wiggle out of his grip. I sat behind him, but he held one hand on my wrist, guiding the dragon with the other.

"I wouldn't do that." The boy replied.

"And why should I listen to you? You just kidnapped me?" I screamed.

His voice was serious , "Unless you want to fall to an very unpleasant death, then I think you should listen."

His eyes stayed focused on flying the dragon.

I peered over the edge of the dragon to see how high up we really were.

I then hugged the boys stomach from behind, side straddling the dragon. He released his grip from my wrist trusting me to hang onto him.

I held onto the boy very tightly, terrified of slipping to my death.

"Am I going to want to die now, before you torture me?" I squeaked.

He laughed, "No, I wouldn't think so."

He landed the dragon in a place I had never seen before. Several other dragons landed after him.

My kidnapper, who still remained nameless, took my hand and helped me off the dragon.

He wordlessly led me through the castle where we landed.

He was gentle.

I had never been kidnapped before, so I was not positive, but I thought most kidnappers were rough, and didn't care for their prisoners. But he was not like that.

He lead me through a castle similar to my fathers, but it was much smaller.

And it was dirtier.

The boy said nothing as we approached two large brass doors. Guards stood on either side. They nodded at the boy, and each opened a door, allowing us entrance.

Beyond that door was an office.

It was a room similar to my fathers.

It had a large chair, signifying the man sitting in it to be the ruler.

A large desk sat in front of the chair.

Upon the walls were maps, and battle plans.

There were photos of dragons, and photos of a young boy.

The boy was the same who kidnapped me.

I finally got a good look at his face.

The first thing I noticed were his eyes.

They were a sparkling blue.

They were eerily pretty.

His brown hair was tossed around his face. He had a small amount of stubble. He could not be older then twenty.

"Good work, Louis." The man smiled at the boy who kidnapped me.

Louis nodded, releasing me from his grip. He took a few steps back, so I stood alone in the middle of the room.

It made me feel uncomfortable.

The man behind the desk stood, and he rounded the desk to approach me.

"Hello, darling." His voice came out kinder then I expected.

I didn't answer.

"You don't have to worry doll. If you cooperate, you won't get hurt." His voice was still gentle.

"What do you want from me?" I spoke softly.

"If I told you, I'd have to kill you."

I almost died right there. I felt the color drain from me face.

The man laughed, "Just a little joke doll. I'm not going to hurt you."

He now turned away from me to Louis, "I have to say, I was not sure if you could do it. I had to see it with my own eyes. I'm impressed, son."

So Louis was this mans son.

I saw Louis suppress a smile at the words of his father.

"Take her to her cell now." He spoke a little harsher now.

Louis nodded, and grabbed me by the elbow, leading me out of the room.

When we were far enough away, I asked, "Who was that?"

"That was Sir Ash. He leads our Realm of Dragons." Louis didn't look at me, as he lead me through the castle.

"He's your father?" I asked.

"Yes." Was all he replied.

"Where are you taking me?" I continued to question.

Louis felt less threatening to me then Sir Ash.

"You will see soon enough." His voice was monotone.

"What do you wa-"

I was interrupted by Louis' abrupt movement. He forcefully pressed me against the wall. The color of his eyes flickered from the light blue, to a pale blue. They reminded me of ice.

His face was inches from mine as he shouted, "Enough questions. Do you understand? You are a prisoner. You don't get the privilege of asking questions."

I felt tears burning in my eyes.

His actions were so abrupt, that it frightened me.

It caught me off guard.

I didn't expect him to be so violent.

He released me from the wall almost as quickly as he moved me there.

His eyes returned to their natural color, and then he gently took my hand, continuing to lead me down the hall.
