"Honey, the mail came. There's some package for you." Suzy, Luna's mum called from the kitchen. "Ugh, Luna? Luna?!"
"What mom? I was just upstairs, no need to go all Goliath on me." Luna answered as she came down the stairs, chuckling. Suzy tossed a thick package to her daughter smiling.
"It's from Auntie Lisa."

Lisa is Suzy's sister who lives in Australia. Well Ballarat to be exact. Lisa loves Luna. And so does her husband, John. And even more so, their children. Amy and Nathan. Nathan is two years older than Amy. And Amy is the same age as Luna, 15. Luna caught the mysterious package and began to tear it open. "Careful, hon."

"Yeah yeah..." Luna muttered as she slid off the covering.
"Well? What is it?" Suzy pressed.

"Oh my goodness!!!" Luna exclaimed, practically jumping for joy. A few months earlier, Luna had talked to her Auntie Lisa about doing schooling there with Lisa's kids over in Ballarat. As life here, wasn't treating her very well. The people at school didn't like her and the teachers had it out for her. She didn't have much family here, as Suzy was the only one in her family that had moved to America to have a better family life. But that didn't turn out in her favour. Luna's father had died in a car accident within their first year in California. And their only child, Luna didn't fit in here. Her style was certainly Aussie. From the way she surfed to the way she wore her hair.

Luna belonged in Australia. Although Luna's preference was Byron Bay, she'd live anywhere as long she was in Australia. Luna loved the Byron Bay Way. She loved nothing more then spending a weekend in a truck out on the beach with her board. And maybe a one night stand with another hot surfer, Suzy didn't need to know that detail...

Suzy knew Luna needed to go back. And she also knew Lisa ran a tight ship, so there wouldn't be any worries. But Suzy had a job already in California. Suzy couldn't go with her daughter.

Luna's 16th birthday was coming up. Suzy would let her go for her birthday.
