It was behind the town butcher's shop Olive had opened her eyes to find herself standing over a dead body. All kinds of questions flew through her head. But the one that she wanted answered the most was 'Did I do this?' It made no sense to ask herself as Olive knew inside she was guilty. She had fragments of memories of killing this person and mutilating the body with her bare teeth. The thoughts begin to reek havoc on her. And she instinctively wanted to leave.

But something pulls her back to the body. There was something she wanted out of it...the heart. The lifeless bag of muscle. With greedy, yet hesitant, hands she ripped the heart out of the man's chest and left the body there to decay. Then...she ran.

Olive got home to find that her house was broken into. There was blood on the doorknob and smudged on her floors. There was one large streak leading up the stairs. She followed it with a pounding fear, and stood in front of the door it led to. There would be no unseeing what she was about to see.
What was left of her foster family was sprawled on the floor, large amounts of flesh missing and blood oozing ruby on floor. Kalli with her small figure — looked as if she had been dragged all over the house before she could finally die. The people she had considered her family were attracting flies, as the window was open. Olive covered her mouth. The stench was worst than anything. She could taste the blood in the back of her throat, feel vomit rising from her stomach.

Olive rushed out of the room, slamming the door shut. "Oh my god." There was no way she would ever want to see that again. The hallway phone was, thankfully, working. Her fingers slammed down the keypads, dialing the number.

"911, what's your emergency?"

"Murder." She gasped, her hands still holding the heart of an innocent man after all this time. "They've been murdered."
