I rummage through the mass of paperwork sprawled all over my desk Grr if I don't find this piece I'm sure to be in trouble "Mia" I yell frantically 'Where the hell is it' I search my mind for awnsers. I run along the landing and lean over the white painted banister "MIA!" I scream at the tops of my lungs, this girl is seriously deaf I sigh, I hear the familar sound of Call of Duty echoing in the background as Mia appears at the bottom of the stairs in her dressing gown, her blonde wavey hair untouched from the night before and her PS4 controller still gripped tightly in her hand, she glances up at me with a tired look in her eyes, a look I've become familiar with lately.

"NOTEPAD! Have you seen my notepad" I puff at her, "would that be the one covered in sticky notes? It's on the table where you left it" Mia says rolling her eyes at me in amusement, I sprint to the table and grab my notepad and car keys from the fireplace in one swift movement, I'm in a usual morning fluster before work, "you need to tidy your desk Lola.. it's a fucking mess" Mia complains, yes, I'm rubbish at organising and tidying which is ironic considering I'm a journalist for a high end, top class magazine, interviewing celebs, the HOTTEST bachelors, getting V.I.P access to the top venues and events.

Scooping my phone up off the coffee table, it's time for work, I have two quick gulps of my semi-warm coffee "I can't be good at everything you know!" I yell back to Mia as I slam the front door.

Not quite the house with a white picket fence I imagined as a child, more of a two bedroomed semi-detached in the outskirts of Manchester's bustling city centre,
I close the black wrought iron gate behind me, shuddering at the prickle of ice against the metal latch, I reach into my bag and search for my car keys before jumping comfortably in my ford focus; sinking into the grey fabric seat with ease, I fumble about with the seat belt before starting the mild roar of the engine and pulling out of our dull estate, i drive through the morning rush hour traffic till i reach the almost full carpark, i drive around till I find my usual parking space, a few yards from the entrance of Prestige Magazine LTD.

I'm reminded why I usually use the train,"trying to find a parking space in this city is near impossible" I huff to myself, I glance at my watch as I lock my car, ten minutes late not as bad as I expected i finally reach my desk after the mad dash from the carpark to the third floor, my boss Simon perched on the corner of my desk to greet my arrival, I wince at the sound of my desk creaking in disapproval.

I catch up with the gossip from the weekend before landing peacefully in my chair, I begin unpacking my notepad and fumbling with my laptop charger, I notice a memo with my name on, i begin reading through it you have an interview scheduled with Joss Lawe... "Simon what's the big deal with Joss Lawe" I ask curiously "he's a big shot millionaire"Simon scoffs, I read through my memo again and take notes of questions to ask, it is an interview after all, how hard can it be right?

1. How does it feel being on the UK 'Rich list'
2. What's next for you
3. What's the most expensive thing you own
4. Romance/love life/love interest
5. Dog or cat person

I sit at my desk with the questions going round and round my head what sort of questions do you ask a millionaire.. I mull it over in my mind while tapping my blue biro against my desk looking for some sort of inspiration, I'm quickly snapped out of my day dream to evie; the newest member of the prestige team swearing and yelling in annoyance at the photo copier "stupid fucking thing!" I break into giggles "ouch" she yelps, "what's the poor thing ever done to you" I say in amusement before pushing a lit up green button on the side of the machine to resolve the paper jam, "err.. thanks.. Lola right? I heard you have a chance to interview Joss Lawe?" Evie shrieks with excitement and dances round my desk "yes I do.. you've heard of him?" I say curiously "HEARD OF HIM?!" Evie shrieks again fanning herself with her notepad coursing Mikheal to laugh in amusement and join in "not many have had the privilege to meet Joss Lawe normally appointment only; he's a ghost!" He smirks before changing the subject and talking about the weekend antics "Jai and me went to that fancy cocktail bar in the Northern Quarter on Saturday, flashy place call it a date if you must" he says waving his hand, Mikheal being on the fashion and gossip section of Prestige while Jai being on the beauty section; Mikheal being confident and outgoing where as Jai is quiet and shy, the complete opposite of Mikheal by a long shot but the attraction between them is obvious so it's not much of a surprise to hear they've been out for drinks, after me and Mia split up we've been living together as the best of friends and partying like university students, tonight won't be much different I expect, video games and a chilled bottle of merlot from the fridge, I'm struggling to keep up with the university lifestyle I'm caught up in.
