I guess I gotta say hi right?

I was just at school, doing geography, doing some questions on floods.

What could Ellen's family have done to be better prepared for the flood. Write down some ideas.

I wrote some ideas.

Ellen's family could have evacuated their home like sensible people.

Not funny enough. I erased it.

Ellen's family could have evacuated their home instead of hiding upstairs like hamsters.

Still not funny enough.

This was so boring.

I glanced at the teacher. She wasn't looking. I glanced at Ellesa. She was working. Ellesa and I had become good friends over the summer. We'd gone to the same school, Knowledge College, which was a stupid name for a school that was actually pretty good.

I ripped out a page in my geography book. I scribbled a note down, and lobbed it at Ellesa's face.

Normally, Ellesa would have screamed. But our recent adventure which had involved many close calls with death, had changed her.

So she just calmly picked up the sheet of paper, glared at me in a friendly way and read it.

Ellesa was soooo not Ellesa anymore. She had gone punk since our journey, and she wore her hair in a messy bun most of the time.

She nodded at me when she finished reading the note.

Wanna know what I wrote?

Do you think that Fred is still going to be a complete idiot when we go to see him today?

He's my half brother. He lives just a few blocks away from me.

"I almost wish we were back in the Arrow, with the rest if the crew still alive. I miss Ravena."

Ravena had been my best friend before Ellesa, because then Ellesa was a total idiot and hippie. She'd changed a lot, if I liked her now. She didn't even look like Ellesa.

"Just do your work Sykes." She put her dork style sunglasses back on and carried on writing.
