The Timid Type

Chapter 1 - Vacation in Japan

Warning: Yaoi, meaning boyxboy. The pairing will be Mori x Harry. Don't like yaoi, don't read the story.

Platform 9 and ¾ was bustling with eager students ready for the summer. None more so, than Harry James Potter.

Harry was a small, petite, feminine boy and was often mistaken as a girl. His long raven locks reached until the middle of his back and was currently worn in a braid with his messy bangs covering his infamous lighting bolt-shaped scar. His small frame reaching up to a measly 5'0ft. He had large, almond-shaped eyes, that looked like they were taken from cut emeralds, hidden behind large circular glasses.

For once in his entire life, he was excited to go back home for the summer. Wonder why? It's because he'll finally be living with someone other than the Dursley's. Wonder who? Why, Sirius and Remus!

After Harry had saved Sirius from the dementors, Sirius had been working extra hard to recover from his stay in Azkaban to allow Harry to live with him and Remus. Along with that, Harry made amends with Draco after he discovered who the real Harry was and not just the "Boy-Who-Lived". He bonded with Severus when he had discovered Harry's talent in potions, as well as Harry's life growing up with the Dursleys.

Both Draco and Severus discovered that Harry was a timid child, who didn't enjoy the spotlight like other people did, his love for doing regular household chores, and his dislike of participating in the war. Harry didn't want to fight in the war or become an Auror, but he'd rather be a Healer because he was intrigued on how magic performed amazing acts of medical miracles.

Currently, Harry was searching for his godparents in the sea of students ecstatic to return home to their families after a long school year. Harry wandered around calling out for his godfathers when he finally heard it.

"Prongslet!"

Harry had a small smile on his face as he dashed through the crowd and over to where he had thought he had heard the call.

"Padfoot! Moony!"

Sirius and Remus looked in his direction and their faces lit up with excitement when they spotted him. Harry ran up to them and gave them both a hug.

"Thank Merlin you're here pup. I thought you got swallowed up in the crowd with your small size," Sirius said, his eyes lighting up in a mix of relief and amusement.

Harry blushed while Remus laughed, "It's true pup. You're smaller than some of the first years."

"And you look like a strong gust of wind will carry you away," Sirius joked. Harry blushed heavily and looked to the side.

"Anyway, are you ready for the summer?", Sirius asked. Harry nodded with a timid smile. This summer Harry, Sirius, and Remus planned to leave the wizarding world and relocate to Japan. Harry hoped that, by doing this, he could avoid any conflict.

"Well, come on then pup. We got the house settled," said Remus as he brought out a portkey. Sirius shrunk Harry's trunk and Harry placed it in his pocket. He then released Hedwig from her cage as he knew she was intelligent enough to find him.

Remus brought out an old, slightly yellow newspaper, "Alright, hands on the portkey," both Harry and Sirius grabbed part of the newspaper, "It'll be activating in three....two....ONE!" Immediately after Remus said that, Harry felt the fierce tug of the portkey at his navel.

They landed abruptly and Harry stumbled, disoriented and dizzy. A hand on his shoulder stopped him from falling face-first. Harry glanced up and saw Sirius's grinning face.

"You okay there pup?" Sirius asked as he set Harry back on his feet. Harry nodded.

"Yeah, thanks," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. Sirius nodded and walked further into the house, before he stopped.

"Feel free to pick your room pup. We got plenty of 'em," he said, looking over his shoulder at Harry with a smile.

He continued on his path and Harry took his time to look around. He was currently standing in the living room. He looked around and noticed a set of stairs. With a slight hesitation, he walked up the stairs and searched for a free room.

Harry opened a couple of rooms and decided that he didn't like them. When he opened the next door, he gasped in surprise. The walls were painted a soft sky blue and a large bed with green sheets laid in the middle. Harry noticed a small desk amd a bookshelf to the side. He opened up one of the doors inside and found a built-in bathroom and a closet.

Harry unshrunk his truck and started unpacking. He heard a soft tapping at the window and a smile lit up his face. He opened the window with a soft cry of "Hedwig!". She landed on his shoulders and started preening his hair. Harry giggled and continued unpacking.

The door and Harry turned to see Sirius gazing at him with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Hmm.... we might have to go shopping for new clothes. I don't think you would enjoy walking around looking like a hobo." Harry turned his head toward the clothes he had. They were all Dudley's and they were way too big and had lots of holes and tears in them.

"I-I guess I could use better clothing-", "Great! Then we could shopping right now!" Sirius exclaimed, cutting through Harry's words.

"Let me get Moony and we'll leave in a second, Ok?" Sirius exclaimed, running off to fetch Moony. Harry blinked and slowly walked downstairs to the entrance. He spotted a exasperated Remus and a slightly hyper Sirius standing nearby.

"Oh good, you're here! Let's go!" Sirius said bouncing slightly. They left the house and walked to the nearby clothing store in a local market. Harry, with Sirius and Remus's help, picked out a couple of shirts and pants, along with two brand new pairs of shoes. When Sirius and Remus stopped to look at a display, Harry also bought a couple skirts and dresses, blushing the entire time.

"Did you get everything Pup?" Remus asked. Harry blushed and nodded timidly.

"Alright, your school sent a couple of uniforms so we don't need to buy those. All we need are your school supplies", Remus mused with a hand on his chin looking towards the sky with a thoughtful look on his face.

When all of the required equipment was purchased, the small family headed home. Harry gathered all his purchases and headed home. When everything was placed in the closet, he quietly cooked dinner and blushed while Sirius moaned over his food. He finished his, placed his dishes in the sink, and headed to his room to get ready for bed. He dressed in silk pajamas and laid in bed, waiting for sleep to claim him in its loving embrace.

'I hope everything goes well. I think I would enjoy living here...', he thought as he darkness overtook him and he fell into sleep's embrace.
