"He's awake." The words ran through Hanji's mind like a hurricane. He's awake. Hanji shut her phone off and slammed the door open. Shoeless and tattered, Hanji ran outside and hurried into her car, her brown eyes wide and shining. She began to make her way out of the driveway, her heart running 1,000 miles a minute. When on the road, it was obvious Hanji was going way past the strict speed limit, but she didn't care. Pulling up at the hospital within 2 minutes, Hanji stumbled out of her car and ran into the tall building, her knotted brown hair tangling in her face and waving out behind her. She smacked her blistered hands on the front desk and stared at the receptionist.
"I need to know where Levi Ackerman is, now."
The receptionist's blue eyes rolled to her computer screen as her fingers smacked against the keys.
"Room 158, floor 2"
Hanji was gone in an instant. Once in the elevator, Hanji's hand smacked the button marked [2] mercilessly.
"Move, move, move, MOVE!!"
Hanji's fist dented the wall as the elevator finally came to a stop. She practically pried the door open before pushing past any doctor, adult, or child in her way. Ignoring the angry cries from her victims, Hanji's eyes scanned the area for the door marked ~158~.
She gave sigh of relief as she found the room surrounded by doctors and nurses. Hanji glided over, only stopped by the doctors restraining her arms as she struggled to get in the room.
"Miss, you can't—"
"I need to see him!"
"There's—"
"Let me see him!"
"Please, liste—"
"LET ME SEE HIM!"
Hanji's hands bruised the doctors' body parts as she welcomed herself in the room. She saw several nurses standing over the bed, all of them working hard.
"Out of my way!" Hanji retorted as she harshly moved the nurses aside. She saw weak, grey eyes looking at her.
Levi's lip was cut and bandages marked his cheek. He looked tired and wasted, the circles under his eyes like craters.
Hanji embraced Levi gently, happy tears dancing down her cheeks, filling her own cuts and bruises.
Levi shoved Hanji off swiftly and looked shocked, quickly asking, "Who...Who the hell are you?" Hanji rose from the ground with watering eyes.
"Wh—What?" Hanji attempted to get nearer to Levi, her hands shaking.
"Don't you dare! Creep...!" Levi snapped, the weakness in his eyes replaced with anger and annoyance.
"L...Levi..." Hanji whimpered, her eyes crystallizing to a deep mucky color.
"How the fuck do you know my name?! Get out!"
Hanji felt her knees weaken and her cheeks become wet.
"I—I thought—"
"Out!"
Two of the nurses escorted Hanji to the door, trying hard to fight her struggling arms. Hanji, crying and shaking, was pushed out of the room and onto the cold floor. She whimpered and cried as she pushed herself up. Hanji dragged herself to the elevator and pressed the [1] button weakly. When the door slid open, Hanji slipped through and groggily walked out of the building, finding and getting in to her car. As soon as she was in, she started wailing. She couldn't believe it. He didn't remember her. She began to drive out of the establishment's property and onto the road. Where was she going? She didn't know. She didn't care. Her eyes were blurred and her ears were filled with her own cries. Hanji was eventually at a familiar sight. This was the road the accident happened on a week before. Tears dripped onto the steering wheel as she pulled onto the side of the road, remembering what had happened.

The road was an absolute mess. It was a Friday night, New Year's Eve in fact. Levi Ackerman was talking Hanji to a party, but he kept quiet about it. Flashing lights reflected in Levi's eyes as he drove along the rigid road. He noticed that the police were chasing a reckless driver. He decided to ignore it and talk to Hanji. They held a normal conversation, talking about their New Year's resolutions and such. Levi froze when he saw something silver.
The car being chased spun towards them quickly. Levi unbuckled Hanji's seatbelt and threw her into the back seat of the car. "Levi—what're you—?"
"Get down!" Levi gripped the steering wheel tightly and twisted it hard, slamming the breaks. The silver car smashed into the couple's vehicle and pushed them over. Glass scraped Levi's cheek before everything went black.

She remembered it well.
And it hurt.
Badly.
