"Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!" Running at full speed through the woods, I turned back around me to see that the giant praying mantis was still following me, & not only that, but it was gaining on me.

Turning around, I swing my sword at it parrying one of its metallic claws from burying itself into my neck, & knocking it back slightly as I continued to run away.

Jumping over a tree trunk, I recognized a familiar site, the dirt road that led to the town known as Tidewood. Just a bit more running & I'd be in the clear.

Sprinting, I continued to run, parrying the mantis attacks every few seconds, keeping it at bay. Not too long later I finally saw the town in view.

"Almost there." But by now stamina was dwindling & I was running out of steam.

I turned around once again to parry the mantis's swipe, only to realize that my sword wasn't moving nearly as fast enough. I was too tired swing my sword properly! The giant insectoid sliced into my torso knocking me down to the ground. "Urgh!" I grunted as I hit the floor. Is this the end?

A girl comes out of no were and runs at the mantis at full speed & hits it right in the chest, knocking it a few feet away.

The mantis, stunned, gets back up & dashes at her full speed, but the wound she gave it just moments before causes it to move considerably slower.

It pounces at her & attacks in an x-slash pattern. She hits it again, this time in the neck with what looks like the deadliest part of the axe & and hits it rapidly. The mantis finally falls & lands with a loud 'thump' & the girl lets out a deep sigh. She looks over at me & her eyes go wide, as she walks over to me & bends down to look at me. I open my eyes to see a beautiful girl standing over me, I sit up slowly almost falling over, but the girl catches me, my vision gets kind of blurry , "Are you ok?" she asked, I could tell she was worried about me. I looked at her, my vision starting to go normal again " Y-yeah" I groan as I manage to sit up now, "be careful, your injured", she reaches into her bag and pulls out a vile with blue and purple water swirling around in it. "Here, drink this" she pushes the vile towards me with a soft stare "I can't, you've already done plenty for me" I say as I push it  back towards her, "Please" she begs, I sigh as I take it and drink it. I start to regain my strength and I brighten up "Wow! Thanks, I feel lots better!" I say happily and give her a thumbs up, she blushes lightly and smiles "you're very welcome."
