dan always rests his head on phils chest, listening to his heart beating makes him feel better. dan constantly worries that phil is somehow going to die, hes so clumsy that he might die at any time. so whenever phils out dans worrying about him, dan doesnt send constant texts asking if hes okay but he worries the whole time phil is gone.
whenever phil comes home with some wild story about how he got attacked by some form of wild animal dan worries more, even though its nearly impossible, he could have lost the only person he ever loved. so dan lies listening to phils heart beating, giggling as it speeds up during tense scenes in tv shows or when dan kisses him, he loves it. he loves feeling phils chest move slightly as he keeps on living despite how clumsy he is, he loves pressing his fingers to phils pale neck and feeling his pulse, his life force, through his skin. every time he does, phil kisses him and tells him that his heart beats only for dan, and dan laughs and kisses him back because theyre dumb gay nerds living for each others existence and loving every minute of it.
