Colby Scott was a strange seventeen year old girl. She had a good heart, and a good head on her shoulders, and always strived to be the best person she could be. But, Colby Scott was also haunted by death. Hospitals made her sick, the feeling of death lingering over her like a dark cloud, cemeteries gave her a deep unsettling feeling that seeped into her bones, and funerals felt like walking directly into the mouth of hell. But she's lived with these feelings her entire life - they were normal for her. Colby Scott was oblivious to her connection with death.
Living in a nice apartment with her Aunt Claire, who she hardly ever saw, Colby enjoyed living in New Orleans, having called the place home for most of her life. Rousseau's was her favorite place to be, huddled up at her favorite table in the corner by the window, either drawing or reading a book. Camille was by far her favorite worker at Rousseau's, always slipping her free drinks, of the non-alcoholic variety. Marcel had always got along well with Colby. He often sat at her table with her with his friends nearby. But she never knew his secret, she never discovered that they were all vampires. Colby was left in the dark about the dangerous world she was unknowingly teetering on the edge of.
Overall, Colby had a pretty average life. She had graduated out of high school a year early at sixteen, due to doubling up on all of her classes, and working hard to pass with a decent GPA. She had a loving aunt, who went above and beyond to always make sure Colby was happy and healthy. Colby Scott had a nice, calm life - and then comes the Mikaelsons.
When Colby finds a girl sitting all alone on a park bench and decides to sit down next to her, her entire life changes. Thrown into the spiraling world of vampires, the Mikaelson family soon realize that there is more to Colby than meets the eye. Unfortunately for Colby, other people start to realize it too. Among the war of vampires, werewolves and witches, something awakens inside of Colby. Something that could very well be the end of her.
