I'm sitting in a cell at the local police department, waiting for my mom to come bail me out! How did I even get caught up in all this? Ugh, I'm going to kill those boys.

"That was ridiculous!" Koral's voice ripped into my thoughts. " I mean one minute we're studying and next thing ya know we're in the back of the police car!" she exaggerates.

"Hey you don't have to yell you know I'm right here." I giggle as she punches my shoulder.

I've known koral since the sixth grade. We became friends because we had a crush on the same guy, Shane Rivir. She never grew out of the crush, while I did. Anyway they have been dating for about two years. Oh and he's also involved in why we are here.

Koral has always had a rebellious look that may freak you out a little at first glance. You get used to it after a while though. Plus once you get to know her she is really a sweetheart. She rocks mid-length dark brown hair that has a different colored piece that changes every few months.

" How are you so calm right now?" she asks furrowing her eyebrows. "Like, of all moments now is when you choose to be calm." I shake my head "Better to be calm then to be pissed when we are locked up don't you think?" I started sticking my tongue out at her. She made a fake offended face and we burst into a laughing fit.

"You girls are in so much trouble." Our faces dropped, we looked at each other before focusing our glance towards the cell door. " Um, hi mom."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The car ride home was absolutely silent. Koral and I looked at each other, sharing the same worried look. Probably thinking the same thing as well. See, mom is not one to be quiet. Mom has always been a fun-loving spontaneous person. So when she stops talking it's usually bad.
We pull up in front of our house. Mom unbuckles and turns to face us. " Koral stays here tonight." Is all she says, then she gets out and walks into the house.
"What just happened?" Koral turns to me, eyes wide. "Not a freaking clue" I reply shrugging. "Guess we should go in and find out." I say opening the car door and walking up to the house, Koral close behind.
Mom is sitting on the couch when we open the door, smirk on her face. " Uh, hey ma." I messed with my sleeve and stared at the floor.
She stared at us for a few more seconds and erupted into laughter. Koral and I exchanged confused expressions before joining her on the couch. Still confused, we stared blankly at her until her breaths became even.
"Why are you laughing so hard?" Koral blurts. "Because you guys thought you were actually in trouble." She pushed the words in between giggles. "You don't even know what we did yet." I said confused.
"You guys are so adorable!" she said nearly falling off the couch. "What is so funny?" Koral demands.
After about two minutes, or what felt like an eternity of not so silent giggles. When she regains some of her sanity she manages to wheeze out, " You guys really thought that you were in trouble."
I glanced over at Koral whose face was distorted. " How do you know we didn't do anything really super duper bad?" she said raising her eyebrow.
Mom face got serious " First of all." She stated placing her finger on Koral's nose. " you just used the word duper in a sentence."
"Shut up!" she retorted crossing her arms and throwing herself farther back on the couch.
Mom started laughing again. " Honestly Mae, I thought you would take this a little more seriously." Koral piped up again. "Really?" mom said raising her eyebrows "have you met me?" " I got into more trouble when i was your age than you two are even capable of."
At that moment my step dad, Logan, walks in. Logan is about 6 foot, always wearing work boots and a baseball cap. He usually has at least a little stubble. Logan started dating my mom when I was two. They got married when I was 4 and my mom was prego with my little sister Rose.
"Did I walk in on something I didn't want to be a part of?" Dad says dropping his things on the floor. "Well unless you don't want to know why I just picked the girls up from the police station, then I think you want to be part of this." mom says glancing at us from the corner of her eye. "Sky and Koral?" "No way!" dad says sitting down next to mom. "what did they do?"
"I don't know yet they were just about to tell me." mom answers focusing her gaze on me.
I began twisting my hair as i always do when i'm nervous. "Um, well we were in the library studying for the history test next week and we heard laughing from the back of the room. we got up to see who it was and three piglets ran towards us. All three of which were wearing school spirits." I explained, Koral nodding along behind me in agreement. "Next thing we know." Koral butts in, "Mrs. Black was on top of her desk and screaming, bookshelves were falling over and than," "we were in cuffs." I finished her sentence.
