Understanding is only the beginning .. [Sequel to YTYU]

::Confessions::

“I will,” I smiled, “Thank you.”

Dr Jenou nodded before leaving the room and Jacob picked up my bag.

“Leggoooo.”

We walked out the room and down the hall, making our way out the hospital and to  Jacob’s car.

As he opened the door, I noticed the car seat.

“You finally got it in the car?” I asked laughing.

He’d been trying for the longest while to get it to fit in the car.

“Yes.” He groaned.

I chuckled.

“Help me buckle him up.”

Jacob walked over to the other side and opened the other door as I placed Xavier in the carrier, then Jacob buckled the first side and I buckled the other.

“You comfortable baby?”

He made some gurgling noises, as if he was replying.

“Let’s go with yes,” He laughed.

I got into the car next to Xavier and Jacob got up in the driver’s seat and backed out the parking lot before making his way down the road.

“You hungry?” He asked.

“Yeah, I hope mummy made something to eat before she left home.”

“Uhh, why don’t we get some Wendy’s?”

“Well, I guess.”

Jacob took a left turn, making his way to the nearest Wendy’s and got in the drive thru line.

“Can I have a spicy chicken sandwhich combo with a large drink?” Jacob said speaking into the speaker.

“Me too.”

“Make that two combos.”

“What drinks sir?”

“A sprite.” I said.

“Two sprites.”

“Alright thank you.”

We moved forward and Jacob rolled the window down as he paid, then took the order and drove away.

“Pass me some fries por favor.”

Jacob passed one of the bags back and I took out some fries and shoved them into my mouth.

“Woah there.” He laughed.

I flipped him off.

“I’m hungry.”

He just laughed.

“Why does it feel like we’re taking forever to get home?”

“Maybe it’s cause you’ve been cooped up in a room for the past days.”

“Jacob I know my area.”

“And I know mine, we live basically in the same area.”

“You’re hiding something.”” I said moving closer to him.

“No I’m not.” He chuckled.

“Yes you are.” I whispered.

I could sense his nerves, but he pushed me away.

“No I’m not Ellanae.”

“Fine. Don’t tell me.”

“Love you.” He smiled blowing a kiss before focusing on the road again.
