The Female Bodyguard...Chapter 19 (Old)

Start from the beginning

I shook my head and walked over to him, kissing him gently.

“I don’t even know why. Just enjoy it why it lasts.”

“What’s that?”

“What’s what?” I ask, confused.

“That note over there? I don’t remember that being there last night.”

I looked over and there sitting on the table was a yellow piece of paper folded up.

Dear Sarah,

I was so sorry for asking you out.

I am sorry I ever caused you pain.

Let’s just say I’m sorry.

After you went inside Brodie’s house, I walked back to your place and sat on the couch.

Then I remember I had a key.

I decided to wait to see if you’d come back, but you didn’t.

So I went over here myself.

It was dark.

I came in and saw you and Brodie, in his bed, together.

You both were asleep, but I knew what happened.

So, I am writing you this note, to tell you I’m leaving town.

Don’t bother following or finding me.

I have to pick some of my things from my dad’s place, but then after that I’ll be gone.

I hope you and Brodie are happy together.

I’m sorry I ever loved you.

Tyler.

T.Welton

“Brodie, look at this!”

I handed the note to Brodie, holding my tears back from spilling over my cheeks.

“Tyler saw us? Shit!”

Brodie scrunched up the note and threw it against the wall.

“Sarah, go get dressed. We’re heading over to Tyler’s place, hoping he’ll be there.”

I nodded, running back into the bedroom and grabbing out some tights, a purple tank and a thin black waist coat.

I choose my black, mini stilettos, since I had only taught myself to run in these, not any others.

I quickly brushed my hair while Brodie through some clothes on.

He knocked on the bathroom nodded and came in.

I nodded.

I was ready for anything.

“You ready for this?”

I nodded again.

“I think so.”

Now he nodded and dragged me out of the bathroom.

Grabbing my purse, I slid a couple hundred dollar notes in my back pocket, my passport, keys, phone and ID.

I never left with those things.

“Okay Sarah. Let’s go.”

He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the car.

He jumped in while I slid into the seat, sliding my sunglasses on.

He revved the car into action, and pulled out of the car space.

I gave him a sideways glance, and realised he looked cute in his plain grey T-shirt and jeans. His hair was lightly ruffled, and his eyes staring anxiously on the road ahead..

“Brodie, what are we going to do?”

“I don’t know. Haven’t thought that far ahead.”

I nodded.

Pulling in theWelton’s driveway, I noticed no cars were parked there, except ours.

I opened the car door and ran towards the front door, banging as loud as I could.

Soon, Mr Welton came out, his face red with fury.

“You! You were hired to protect my son! And now look where he is!”

“What? He hasn’t come home yet?”

Mr Welton shook his fist.

“You know very well he hasn’t! You selfish bitch!”

I looked at him, confused.

“I received a ransom letter from some people, who kidnapped Tyler last night. He was alone in the streets! Where were you!”

I looked at Brodie, who looked away.

“Ransom? Kidnapped? What?”

“Yes, that’s right!”

I shook my head.

“Look Mr Welton, Brodie and I will do whatever we can do to find Tyler. He means the world to us.”

Mr Welton shook his head.

“No, no, I am having nothing to do with you! You are fired!”

And with that he slammed the door in my face.

“Brodie, I-I”

He cradled me in his arms, sitting on the ground of Mr Welton’s door.

“Brodie, we need to find Tyler. And I will find him, even if it’s the last thing I’ll do.”

“Sarah, Ssh, we will find him.”

“Brodie, can you drive me to the airport?”

I felt him nod, kissing the top of my head.

I was going to find Tyler Welton, even if it was the last thing I’d do.
