I had finished all my homework, studied for my French exam, and wrote out my English essay. My school work was out of the way but Jay wasn't. I couldn't think of the right words to say to him or my parents. Especially my parents, I was their perfect little angel and Jay was my perfect angel boyfriend so how was I supposed to explain to them that I was going to break up with him. I couldn't think of a better way to break up with someone so kind and innocent. I grabbed my phone and called him. It was the easiest way I could break up with him, without feeling guilty and seeing his face collapse.

"Hey babe!" He exclaimed.

"Hey" I mumbled.

"What's up?" He said cheerfully.

"Uh.. I kind of have some news.." I stumbled out.

"Good or Bad?" He asked nervously.

"Uh, I'd rather not answer that"

"Alright, so what's going on?"

I gulped.

"Look, I really think your the greatest guy I've ever met.. Literally but uh... I just can't.. um-

"I can take a hint Mya, you don't want to be with me. I understand" He

said with a sad tone.

"Um yeah but uh-

"I'll see you at school"

It was too late to reply, he'd already hung up. It was a relief to get that off my chest, but it was going to be even harder explaining it to my parents.

"Mya! Dinner's ready!" Mom called from downstairs.

I sighed and ran through the hall and down the stairs. The table was already set and my most favorite meal was on the table. What was going on? It was my turn to set the table and we were having my favorite meal tonight.... What the hell?

"Surprise!" My mom yelled.

"Uh, what's going on?!" I asked confused.

"Hunny! Your report card came in the mail, straight A's again!" My dad said smiling.

I smiled back, proud.

"To celebrate we made your favorite meal and dessert and we also invited Jay over for dinner!" Mom exclaimed.

My heart sank through the floor and into the basement.

"Look mom and dad I broke up with Jay. He's just not my type and I don't think I really am in love with him" I sighed.

"Oh.. Well, hunny it's alright. We don't need another person in our life. We already have an angel!" Dad exclaimed.

My mom gave me a warm smile and I smiled back with relief.

"Well anyways we've got some new neighbors that are joining us tonight anyways. They're a little weird so don't mind them" My mom warned.

"New neighbors?" I asked.

"Yeah, you've been stuck in those books you haven't even realized the Jacob's have moved in across the street-

'DING DONG'

"Oh, that must be them" She grinned.

"Great, this day couldn't get any better"
