"But Rachel! I don't want to move! All of my friends are here! I have a life to ya know!" I complain when my step mom announced that we were moving to a new house in North Carolina. Mind you, I live in Washington.
"I'm sorry Kelly, we're moving and you can't stop it. Your dad got a new job in South Carolina and we have to move."
"It's not fair! Why couldn't he find a job in Washington?!"
"Because, he couldn't find one. Now, we have free tickets to go to South Carolina and we are going. Go pack, we only have a couple of days." She says pointing her finger towards my bedroom.
I march back to my room and pack all of my clothes, stuffed animals, and books. I look around my room to see what to pack next, I spot my picture of my best friends Molly, Micah, and Emma. I pick it up and place it carefully in the box. "I'm gunna miss you guys." I say to myself. I finish packing my manga, anime and Magic the gathering cards and tape up every box. It looks so empty.
I walk downstairs with the last box in my arms. "Here you go. Can I go see Molly, Micah and Emma?! Just to say good bye?"
"I guess," my dad says. I run outside and see them talking on Emma's trampoline. "HEY GUYS!!!" I run up and jump on the trampoline.
"Kelly!" They all yell in unison. We hug each other tightly and stay that way for a couple minutes. "Promise you'll face-time every day! And Make sure to send LOTS of pic! Don't forget us!"
"I will! And won't. I'm gunna miss you so much!!!" We hug one last time. "One more picture before I go!" We all huddle in and take the last selfie for a long, long time.
I wave good bye as I get into the back of the pick up and drive away. I watch as their waving arms get smaller and smaller...
