War. Something that no matter what humanity does, it breaks out. It happens for so many reasons. But, the most violent and tragic ones always start with something personal.
Before the Traitors War, the kingdoms of Omia and Arvea had been very close. After so many wars, death and blood spilled, the kingdoms decided to start over. However, people often forget but don't forgive.
It was rumoured that the Omias king had been the one to start the war, only no one knew why. So many rumours whispered between soldiers. The most likely and the one that seemed most likely was that the king had done this for his daughter Tara.
Tara was a beautiful girl with long golden hair, sun kissed skin and light blue eyes; she had a kind heart and a loving soul. The Omias "royal" family had been invited to the Arvea mansion to celebrate the summer solstice with each other. According to the story ; the Arvean prince had asked Tara to be his wife, which would have been a strong union for both kingdoms. However, it was well known that the prince had many lovers and Tara didn't want a marriage for power, but for love. So she refused. The prince in rage, snuck into Tara's chambers that night and attacked her. When Tara told her father of the attack, he declared war between the two kingdoms.
It had been decided centuries ago that only men would fight in the wars. And not until that day had the thought of women fighting even entered the thoughts of the Omias queen. She had told the king her idea and he waved her off.
" Women shouldn't be on the battlefield. They should stay home and let the men fight. Let it go my love, no woman would be able to fight on the field. "
She knew he spoke the the truth. Women couldn't fight on the field, but they could fight another way...
