The First Breath
Chapter 1
My phone lit up and buzzed, "a text? from who?"
"I don't know why you're so scared" Luna's text said on my phone screen I sighed and started to type back.
"I-I just am..... It's my first time going to talk to a 'counselor' and what if she thinks i'm completely crazy and sends me away for two weeks?!!!?" after hitting send i put my phone down and looked out the window at the rain being slammed on my window and sliding down as i fell into deep thought...I'm not sure how long i was lost in thought nor did i know what time it was or where i was but it sure as hell did not look like my room. I was sitting on soft thick grass looking up i saw the blue sky
"at least it seems somewhat normal...maybe i walked here..."
The trees were tall and there branches stretched for what seemed like ever as they all were in battle to see who could touch the sky first. I looked around and stood slowly noticing a familiar silver haired girl i walked closer to her just to be sure it was her.
"L...Luna?" i asked quietly, she turned it was her! She was tall, baby blue eyes her silver hair just below her shoulders.
She laughed "hey! what are you doing her Red?" she said as she hugged back.. I was shorter than she was by a long shot but i was okay with it my hair was longer than hers (it's down to my lower back) and it's bright fire red. my eyes are hazel, most of the time green. I pushed up my glasses as Luna did the same.
"so do you know where we are?" i looked at my phone and sighed "someplace with no service..." i muttered and put my phone away
As we are standing there the blue sky begins to drip of its blue color and turn grey, as does everything else.
"ummm....are you seeing this to red?" Luna asked panicked
"yes....good to know i am not seeing things and going crazy" I muttered under my breath.
We walked for hours trying to find where we were when we saw something red run past us.
The wind was cool and it ran up our backs and snaked around our bodies making us shiver.
"where are we now?" Luna asked shivering slightly
my nose twitched as two cat-like ears sprouted from my head as a fluffy tail twitched as it appeared.
"no idea...."
Luna stared at my new appearance for a bit "umm...red?"
I turned to look at my friend confused "what? is there something behind me?"
Luna stared at the cat-like ears as they twitched "n-nothing!"
I shrugged and we kept walking till we came along two girls who seemed to be in the same situation as us. Luna whispered "what do we do about them?"
sniffing the air i found a few ways on what could happen... "well we could turn around and leave or we could eat them!"
Luna laughed and that gave our position away
"damnit.....nice going luna.....now we will have to eat them!" i smiled my teeth shining in the low red light, i giggled. "should we boil them? or should we just eat them now?"
Luna got what i was saying and laughed "we could tie them up and boil them with a little seasoning? or should we feed them to the dogs?"
The tall with really long, dark grey haired girl, with her black wolf ears perked up in alert, her blue eyes looked big enough to swim in, her voice soft like a blanket. " who are you?"
I jumped slightly " tell me your name and i will share ours"
she seemed reasonable enough.... i guess i was right
"I'm neko and this is my partner lotus" as neko said her name a small goat horned girl with blue hair and grey eyes peeked out from behind neko.
"umm...hello" said lotus
i nod " i'm Red ruler of the seven seas!!! and threat to all who cross me!!!" Luna facepalmed next to me
"your about as threatening as a bug...."
"you think so" after we talked for a bit then i heard someone say my name
"red?!?!?" i looked around "anyone else hear that?" i kept looking around and i found that i was alone in this strange forest "well i'm totally dead.."
"RUN!!!!" the strangely familiar voice said "RED! I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T START RUNNING NOW!!" the ground shook, my ears dropped and i looked up as something grabbed my hand and kept running with me.
