Life's Full Of Suprises

**NIALLS POV***          

                                         I heard the doorbell ring, and Megan opened the door. She smiled, but it was one of those awkward smiles. Everything been awkward since last night when I tried to kiss her. I was picking her up to go to the pet store, Pet smart. I didn’t make sense… What it “Pets Mart” or “Pet Smart”. I couldnt figure it out.

                                        Megan had her adorable Border collie puppy in her arms, and she set her on the ground with a leash on her pink color. I smiled. We had agreed we’d both bring our puppies. “This is Autumn. Autumn, meet Niall. Niall, Autumn,” she said, introducing her as a person.

                       “Oreos in the car! Let’s go!” I said; ready to get out of this awkward hello. We got in the car and drove to Pets Mart… Or Pet Smart.

**Louis POV***

                “Louis? Louis!?” Eleanor’s voice echoed into my thoughts. “Yeah, babe?” I asked. I looked down at plate. It was untouched. I had taken Eleanor out to lunch, and all I could think about was her. Paige. I don’t know what it was about her.

                     She’s so beautiful. But I have Eleanor. I love her so much. I think. Damn I need to make up my mind.

                “You haven’t eaten and zoned out.” She looked concerned. “What on your mind?” She asked. I sighed. I have to tell her. I can’t sit here and let her think I love her. “I-“

                “Oh, Louis I feel so bad! I can’t keep it from you! Me and josh have kind of been together. I’m so sorry! I really loved you at the start, but it’s different now. Don’t hate him or me. I have got to go,” she said, getting her bag. I sat there, shocked.

                “Wait! I needed to tell you I’ve been seeing someone else, too.” Lies. Lies and lies and lies.  

                “Oh,” Eleanor said, looking equally shocked as me about what I just said. “Well, I’d love to meet her sometime. Bye Louis,” she said, kissing my cheek and leaving. Well, I’ll just say one thing. That escalated quickly.

                That when I lost it. I broke down in tears, right in the middle of this store. I had flown Eleanor over to North Carolina so I didn’t have to be away, and the only reason she agreed was because of Josh.

                        I walked out, and realized Eleanor had the car. And the hotel was blocks away. I whipped out my phone, calling the only person I wanted to see now.

                Paige.

                I didn’t give her details; I got right to it and told her where I was. Just a simple ‘please pick me up.’ She pulled up a few minutes later. I got in the car, and she accepted my thought of not talking.  “What’s wrong? Aren’t you with Eleanor?” I could hear the way she spat her name out with venom.

              “Um… yeah. I was supposed to be b-but sh-she,” and I broke into tear again. “She cheated on me.” I got it out. And it hurt to say it. I don’t know if it hurt my heart or ego more. I wasn’t really in love with her, but I still cared about her.

                “I’m so sorry. Louis, Eleanor isn’t the person to cry over. She didn’t love you like someone faithful could. And that person could be right under your nose. You could open your eyes, but they stay closed.”

                 I laughed as she quoted our song. Not our song, but my bands song.

                “I guess. Thanks,” I smiled at her. She smiled back. That smile. It made my stomach erupt, and I felt like I was going to through up, in a good way.

                “Well, here we are. Nice seeing you Lou-“she began to speak, but I stupidly crashed my lips to hers. I know, it’s probably too soon, but I like her so much.

                 She melted into the kiss, and kissed back. I hope she felt the same.

                She pulled away, smiling, probably reflecting my face. “Bye Louis,” she said, kissing my lips once more, and shooing my from the car, driving away.

                She’s all I dreamt about that happier than before now night. 

**NIALLS POV***

                “How much did you guys spend!?” Liam screamed as we walked in with like 15, yes, 15, large bags. I shrugged, and Megan giggled. They were all dog toys. We let our puppies run around and terrorize together.

                Today was less awkward that I anticipated. It was nice seeing this side of Megan. She laughed and played with the puppies inside the store.

                “Well, I have to go… Ill see you later Niall,” Megan and said and surprised me by kissing my cheek and walking out the door with Autumn as a dazed looking Louis walked in, smiling from ear to ear. Today was awesome.
