Welp. Its sixth period and this shit is hard. Malak is like in the other row. The teacher has an assignment and is pairing partners.

Ms. Soriano- Brandon and Kamila, Vanessa and Korie, Chris and Sophie, and Malak and Jailen.

Is she fucking kidding me?! When she said our names the whole room went silent.

Ms. Soriano- Why did y'all get all quiet when I said their names?

Some Random Dude- They broke up.

How does everyone know?! Well I have been gone for three weeks so...

Ms. Soriano- Yeah. I know. Everyone get in your pairs.

All the kids started moving except Malak and I. We were just looking at each other. Why the hell did she put us together.

Eventually Malak shuffled over and sat across from me.

Malak- Hi...

Jailen- Hi.

He sighed before looking at me with blue eyes.

Malak- I miss you....

I didn't say anything for a few seconds then responded.

Jailen- Why did you do the bet?

Malak- I don't know. I wasn't thinking at the moment. But I do love you.
