The DARK Shadow

The Unknown of The DARK Shadow Chapter 1

*This is a horror story, I would advise you not to read this at night or when you are home alone if you get scared when you read horror stories, children under the age of 12 pleased be advised to read this at your own risk because this may be scary* Thank you.

Chloe and Lucy were just average kids with an average life, family and friends. Until one day-

"Hey Lucy" Chloe said. "Don't you think it's getting a bit dark?"

"Yeah it is, maybe we should head home." Said Lucy.

Chloe and Lucy packed up their things and grabbed their dolls. The weather started to change rapidly, the sun raced behind some clouds, like a cat chasing after a mouse. The clouds turned pitch- black and the sky was as dark as the dirt. Rain started to fill the sky like a flock of birds leaving for the winter, the rain started bucketing down so much that if you tried to run or even walk fast you would fall over. The girls started getting scared and looked for shelter. All of a sudden in the bushes the girls heard rustling. The bushes started to move franticly. A bird jumped out from behind them and scared the girls, they were so skittish, they turned their heads back to the bushes, they had stopped moving. The rain started to drift away. The clouds weren't so dark, and the sky, well let's just say, it looked the same. They thought it was safe to head off home now because their parents would be getting worried.

Now you are probably wondering; 'Why are these two girls in an abandoned area, and they seem quite young as well?' Well the girls were trying to find their usal way to the park and somehow got lost. The girls found this abandoned area, which was a school that had been around for hundreds of years and abandoned for not that much less. The girls are both 7 years old and have their daily tea party and doll playing session. The decision they made to stay at that school, was the worst decision they had ever made....

Lucy stepped out of the shelter they were hiding under and saw lightning strike right next to her body, she screamed and ran back in. The sky went dark again and they started to see shadows, dark shadows, tall dark and fast moving shadows, not like their own shadows, small and cute but these shadows were coming from every direction.

The girls started to see flashing lights every time the shadows went past them. The world felt like it was moving around in circles. The shadows started getting bigger and darker and closer. They heard an evil laugh, almost like a cackle. The girls screamed in terror. They thought it would be best for them to leave before anything else happened whether it was raining or not.

They started backing away. The girls were looking in every direction just in case anything jumped out.

Lucy started walking backwards towards where they came into the school. She was clinging so tight onto the doll, you'd wonder why her head hadn't popped off. (The doll)

1 step, 2 steps, 3 4 5, she stopped suddenly hitting a hard surface.

She thought, "I don't remember there being a wall here."

Chloe turned around to look at Lucy, Chloe tried to scream but nothing came out. Lucy started to feel light headed and only realised then and there that it wasn't a wall she banged into. She turned around and saw a dark figure. She thought she was just hallucinating because she was so light headed. She turned back around to run to Chloe.

The figure reached out his long dark fingers and put his hand on Lucy's shoulder.

The figure came out of the darkness and Lucy turned around, her eyes widened at what she saw appear out of the shadows. Something that would scar her for the rest of her life....
