Would you believe me if I told you
I am more than just a girl
That every now and then,
I escape to other worlds
Would you believe me if I told you
I slay dragons all the time
And when I'm feeling lonely
I spread my wings and kiss the sky
Would you believe me if I told you
I have scales under my skin
And when the day grows hot
I bring them out and take a swim
What if I told you
"I'm a fairy in disguise"
And I'd show you my wings
to prove it
Although I know you'd be
surprised
"You have wings as well,
they're just a bit pint-sized"
And if you finally believe me
That I'm more than just a girl
Then I'd smile and say goodbye
and return to my favorite world
Where mother says "wake up"
So I take off my fairy wings
Shake off my scaly skin
Say goodbye to mermaid friends
and hide the magic
back within

I wrote this one a long time ago, and it's very "imagination-y."
A little girl has so many worlds to step into, I get jealous.
I hope you enjoy.
