Silver tears:
Silver glimmers across the sky and rests on the old willow,
sweet earthy-green encompasses the think air.
A young girl waits quietly in her perch above,
with dried silver bells and strands of golden hair.
she's laced in bronze and snowy white, like a dove,
lying across the rough bark, her arm serves as a soft pillow.
The snap of a rotting twig and the rustle of topaz autumn leaves,
arouses the owl, her eyes flying wide towards her friend below.
Spidery arms and legs guide Golden down, almost to the ground.
A silent cry near the river side, shatters the nights peaceful flow.
Beneath the old tree, eternally sleeps light-less orbs, heaven bound.
A hollow heart kneels over the still sleeper, silver tears her face receives.
Bony snakes coils around her neck, causing burning in her chest,
she claws with desperation, wishing to cry her frustration.
The reapers face shrouded in merciless darkness,
the frail creature looks up, praying for her salvation.
A sudden rush leaves her shaky in starkness,
the yelling and pounding like echo's of the far west.
A numbness embraces the owlet as she is hauled away,
the world a melding spiral of distant sounds and pictures.
Her feet dragging alongside her heart, in a pit of despair.
Depression welding her soul, stripping the work of scriptures.
Dead, glazed over eyes trail the ground, closing once in prayer,
her prison awaits, her freedom robbed, her life cracked like clay.
