Before I start the story, I want to thank Koolkat4512. She came up with the entire plot to the story and we both worked hard on making this story as amazing as we can. So, with that in mind. Enjoy!
"Please, just let me go!" The black haired boy screamed, lashing around to break free. The 3 soldiers holding him, tightened their grip and pushed him down the dirt trail. The boy continued to squirm and finally, his arm came free and swung upwards towards the soldiers. His elbow slammed into one of the men's jaw and he instantly released the thin boy.
He took his chance and ran. Past the tall dark trees, glancing back to see the soldiers. He continued running, his bare feet scratched and sliced by the plants and rocks underneath his feet. The soldiers were chasing him, slowly catching up. They were screaming something to the boy, but the dark haired male could not care to listen. He glanced back at them one last time.
He continued to run up a small hill, hoping there was a way to escape. The trees around him began to fade as the hill became steeper and steeper until they met with a plunge downwards. The boy stopped, panic rushing throughout his body.
"No, no, no..." He stuttered, looking down at a clear slate of moonlit water that traveled miles away. He turned back towards the direction he had come from to see two of the tree men run out from behind the trees.
"You'd better obey us, boy," One of the two hissed, pulling out his musket and aiming it at the teen. The blue eyed boy froze, his heart dropping. There was no way out. The other followed and aimed his gun as well. The boy glanced back at the ledge then at the soldiers. "Don't you even think about it."
"Please, just let me go. Why don't you believe me? I would never have killed her, I loved her!" The boy yelled.
"You can't prove the truth. This is your punishment for your sins."
"I have committed no sins! You will be sinning by hanging an innocent boy!" His body was shaking at each word he spoke, fear consuming him.
"You, young man, are not innocent! Now you can come with us and be hung with honor for your sins or we can kill you here in shame!" Tears found their way out of the blue pearls of the young boy.
"I will not be hung with honor... I will be murdered with humiliation and disgust..," The boys eyes dropped to the dirt covered ground, tiny drops of tears splashing around his feet. "I'd rather be killed alone in the woods where nobody will find me. Only the three of you to see me as I part my ways from hell onto heaven."
"If that is your choice, so be it." The soldier spat, his finger threatening on the trigger of his musket. The boy shut his eyes, ready for death to take him.
A gun shot fired into the night, filling the world with utter silence. The boy stumbled back, not a sound could be heard except for the ringing in his head. He looked up for the slightest moment and found the world falling beneath him. He fell from the edge of the cliff, the sky shimmering above him.
He plunged into the cold darkness, the world evaporating underneath the surface. He sunk deeper into the water, the liquid around him turning red from the blood that was spilling out of him.
The cold nipped at his skin while the darkness embraced him with open arms. His eyes began to grow heavy as he let go of the world around him. No struggle. No pain. Just complete and utter darkness.
