Bay's POV

I spot the line for baggage check and line up behind the last person. I put everything on the conveyer belt and look around, hoping that Niall would maybe be around. Of course, he's not. Even though we had so little time with each other, there was something about him that pulled me in so much.

Suddenly, I'm told to go forward as security guards pat me down to see if I have anything on me. I feel my phone buzz in my back pocket.

Naomi: I' m gonna miss you you little hoe my best friend texts me.

Bay: Not so sure if I'll miss you especially for calling me a hoe. I smile and shake my head as I put my phone back into my pocket.

I go through customs with ease and check to see what time it was.

The clock to my left said the time was 4:42 pm, I better go look for my flight. I roamed around the gate entrances looking for gate six.

My eyes continue to search until I see familiar blonde hair just ahead.

"Niall!" I call out

He turns around, "Bay! Don't tell me you're looking for gate six too?"

"Can't say that I'm not." I look up to his face, Wow he is very attractive...

"Well, unless we want to miss our flight we should probably get going." Niall says as I'm snapped back into reality.

"Right." I say, flustered. I really hope he didn't catch me staring.

My phone buzzed again.

Naomi: Come on it was just a joke don't be a wuss.

Bay: I was just kidding, I'll miss you even more than you miss me xx

Naomi: Good. Oh btw, Chris texted me... he still wants to go out with me sometime...

My smile slowly vanishes.

Bay: You already know what happened Naomi... I want you to be happy but it's just... weird.

"Is everything okay?" Niall asks as I realize that he's still here.

"Oh! Yeah don't worry, everything's fine."

"Okay... Oh look there's gate six!"

I pull my phone out one last time hoping for a text back from Naomi but there was nothing.

Bay: Alright, text me back when you can, I'm gonna get on my flight now.. love you xx

I slide my phone back into my pocket and retrieve my plane ticket. I give it to the lady, with Niall behind me.

"So," he begins as we walk down the boarding bridge, "What are you studying in London?"

"I'm majoring in communications."

"That's so cool! I don't know if I'd be capable of a job like that if I'm honest."

"Well, it's not for everyone but I love everything about it, so it's the perfect path for me to go down."

We reach the entrance and look for our seats, it turns out that we were sitting in the same section but not next to each other. Which disappoints me more than it should.

"Damn it, I was really hoping to get to know you more Bay." he complains.

"I was too. Hey you never know, maybe someone will switch with you and you can sit next to me." I shrug my shoulders, hoping he will actually try.

A middle aged man sits next to me and pulls out a newspaper. I stare Niall down.

He takes a deep breath before tapping the man on the shoulder.

"Hi sir, I was wondering if you'd be able to switch spots with me. I don't sit that far away but you see, I wanted to sit next to my friend here." he awkwardly smiles.

"You see, I would but I don't really care about what you want." the man replies and goes back to reading his newspaper. My eyebrows raise at how blunt and rude he is.

Niall glances at me his smile disappearing.

"It's alright Niall, maybe the person next to you will switch with me instead." I get up and glare at the man next to me.

"What an asshole." I roll my eyes.

"That's okay I've learned to suck it up because people can be stupid." I find it so amazing that he manages to stay positive in situations like this.

I see that the person that is supposed to sit next to Niall is a woman, hopefully she's friendly.

"Hi, I was wondering if you would be happy enough to switch seats with me, I would like to sit next to my friend."

The woman looks back at me, getting up and asks "Sure, where do you sit?"

"Thank you so much! I sit over here." I direct her to where I originally sat.

I make my way back to Niall and say "I almost feel bad for sitting her next to that jerk, she was so much nicer."

He chuckles and turns to me "So, where are you coming from?"

"I'm from around the area, San Francisco."

"City girl I see," he smirks.

"Born and raised"

The whole flight continues just like this, the rest of the passengers drifting into sleep as Niall and I continue our conversations about anything that could possibly pop up into our heads.

Finally, after what seemed to be hours, I turn to see that he had fallen asleep. I smile as I admire how cute he looks, almost like a puppy. Stop staring Bay, that's creepy . Instantly, I quit my gaze and look forward to see a flight attendant slowly approaching us.

"Can I get you anything to drink? Any snacks?" she kindly asks.

"Yes, can I get some water please?"

She hands me the water and I take a drink before I realize how tired I have become from all that has happened today. Before I can shut my eyes, my phone buzzes again. When I look down at the screen my throat begins to close up as the familiar name appears.

Chris
