The last thing Jak reminded was meeting with his old science professor from college. Never in his wildest dreams did he think that he would end up in handcuffs, in some sort of interrogation room, while his old professor vanished off the face of the earth.

Someone shined a blinding light onto Jak's face. "Okay, I don't want to be here, and you don't want to be here. So let's play nice. Alright, boy. Where is The Phantom?" the man demanded. Jak glared at the man. "I have no idea what you're talking about, sir. What the heck is "The Phantom?" Please, sir, I really have no idea what you're talking about," Jak said honestly. The man growled at Jak and slammed his hands on the table. "Don't make me hurt you, boy! I am not one to play games," he growled.

"Give it a rest, Dagger. It's apparent that the kid doesn't know anything," a female voice sounded behind the man known as Dagger. Jak squinted at the new arrival. The owner of the new voice walked out of the shadows of the room, and crossed her arms. The woman had short brown hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a shorts and an army vest.

"Shut it, Fox. Blood put me on this case, you're just a rookie," Dagger sneered. "Dagger? Fox? Blood? These people have really weird names," Jak thought as he glanced between the two. Fox rolled her eyes, "True, but it doesn't take a genius to see that the boy doesn't know anything," she pointed out. Dagger growled, "Fine! Let's see what you can do," he yelled as he walked into the shadows.

Fox smirked, "Gladly," she replied as she walked closer to the table. "Here there. What might your name be?" she asked. "Jak Lawson. Now where the heck am I?" he asked. "I'd just love to tell you, but Mr. Grumpy Pants over there might slit my throat if I were to tell you," Fox replied.

"In a heartbeat," Dagger growled from the shadows behind her.

Fox raised an eyebrow. "See?" she said.

Jak laughed half heartedly, "Yep, these people are crazy," he thought as sweat dripped down his neck.

"Now, back to business. We're looking for this guy," Fox said as she pulled out a picture from her breast pocket and showed Jak the photo. The picture showed a blonde man, around Jak's age, with blue, unreadable eyes. "That's my old college professor. Levi Smith," Jak said.

"Levi Smith. So that's the name he's going by now," Fox mused out loud. "What the heck is going on here? Did Levi do something? Why are you two after him?" Jak asked. Fox hummed as she glanced over her shoulder. "Well, Dagger? Can I tell him?" she inquired.

"Do whatever the hell you feel like doing," Dagger growled. "Why thank you, your highness," Fox said sarcastically as she looked back at Jak.

"Codename Phantom is a high class missile weapon system that our organization have been trying to find for quite sometime. Phantom, in the wrong hands, has the ability to destroy the very fabric of time and space. We need to find this guy as soon as possible," Fox explained with all seriousness in her voice.

"No, what you do need is a psychologist. You people are insane! Professor Smith would never hurt a fly! Besides, a missile that can destroy time itself!?" Jak yelled.

"Well, he took that well," Dagger grunted.
Fox shot a glare behind her and turned towards Jak. "Look, this might be a big pill to swallow at first, but we are agents of the time traveling police force known as Paradox.Your collage professor is a fugitive from the year three thousand eighty-eight. He use to be part of Paradox, but he went rogue and started to deal with weapon dealers. VERY dangerous weapon dealers," she explained.

"Where's the proof? You can't just say that you're from the future and expect me to accept that without a shred of proof," Jak pointed out. Fox sighed as she gripped her arm, and pulled. What happened next made Jak do a double take. Fox's arm came right off. The appendage was sparking with electricity, and had very futurist technology in its circuit.

"Now do you believe me?" Fox asked with a raised eyebrow. Jak could only nodded, as he was in a stupor.

Fox laughed as she reattached her arm. "Good, I'm glad we're on the same page now," she said as flexed her fingers a little. "What in God's name are you?" Jak asked dazed. Fox grinned, "An android. Nice to meet ya, Jak," she said.

Jak gulped a little. What the heck did he just get himself into?
