The crowd went crazy when Peter placed first. He was my hero, my inspiration. I want to be just like him one day I thought. I looked up at my dad he was so fascinated by the cars. " dad, do you think one day I can be a racer?" I asked. " sure honey, you can be whatever you want to be. As long as you put your mind to it."
That was when I was 7 it's been 5 years since then and everything's changed. Peter is dead. He died in a car accident in a race. I was so upset. I didn't eat for weeks. Dad is getting angry all the time. He is saying I'm useless and I'll never be good enough. So many things change after one mistake.
