I sighed and glared a dagger over near Mr. Henderson as he started to tap his pencil against his desk again, after I had asked him to quit about 3 times already.

"Could you be any more annoying?" I whispered in his direction as I turned back around, trying to focus on why Humans need approximately 12 hours in order to entirely digest the food.

"Oh, don't worry Baby doll. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I can be a lot more annoying then this." He whispered, just as the bell rung for school to be over. Finally. I've had enough of Mr. smarty-pants for one day.

"How could you Possibly get anymore annoying?" I questioned him, throwing my hands up in the air as we exited the classroom.

"Maybe, like this." He said with a smirk on his face. Before I could see where he was going with that statement, he bent down, grabbing my torso and legs, lifting me up into the air bridal style. I screamed and thrashed around in his arms, as he continued to chuckle.

"I have strong arms, remember?" He said, quoting me from the time we first met. Which only happened to be two days ago.

"I regret telling you that. I had no idea how much of an ignoramus you were then." I spat back at him.

"Oh, look at the baby doll using big words!" He said tediously, before chuckling at his own remark. As I said before, he is an ignoramus.

"I happen to have all A's, thank you very much." I said, my voice dripping with confidence. He smirked, before spinning slightly, making me hold onto him tighter.

"That doesn't surprise me." He said, laughing, before setting me down. Right in his car.

"And what do you think your doing?" I said, crossing my legs, and folding my arms, as I looked up at him. His car was red convertible, after all.

"Taking you home. What does it look like I'm doing?" He retorted, as he started the ignition. I groaned.

"It looks like you got more annoying." I replied. He smirked, as he backed up, and started down the highway. We didn't live very far, but we weren't exactly neighbors to the school either.

"Told you so." He said, glancing at me, before looking at the road again.

"So why is the oh-so-great Chase Henderson taking me home?" I said, looking his way. He spared me a little glance, before explaining.

"You took a bus here. A classy lady like you, deserves to be taken home in a classy car such as this one." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"Just because my family is rich, doesn't mean I need to be treated like royalty. I can do things myself, you know. Not everyone needs to bend over backwards when they see I walk into a room." I retorted.

"I never said you were royalty. I said you were classy." He said, smirking as if he won he argument. I rolled my eyes, yet again at him.

"Ignoramus." I stated, before he chuckled.

"I could always drive to my house and carry you home." He suggested as I glanced at him.

"Just drive." I said as I looked back at the road. We were only 10 minutes away from the house. 10 minutes I had to spend with chase, before I was home sweet home.

"Got it, pretty lady." He commented as I rolled my eyes. He sighed, seeming to be deep in thought as he got off of the next exit.

"What is the great Chase Henderson thinking about now?" I asked, as he sighed once again, before answering.

"Just his Not-so-great 'girlfriend.'" He said putting air quotes around the word 'girlfriend.'

"Why?" I asked, as I shifted in my seat. This had to be good if it had him all choked up about it.

"Well, she pretty much hooks up with every guy. We have been on and off for months now, and when I finally moved down here to mission creek, she didn't take it so well. She's been blowing up my phone, constantly calling me, texting me. Everything." He rambled on. I nodded. I knew how that was.

"I know the feeling." I mumbled. He glanced over at me, as we turned onto my street, where the davenport mansion was on the other end.

"You do?" He questioned.

"Yeah. Every other guy I've been with, never lasted long. I just never felt that "Spark" You know? After I broke up with them, they would always call me, begging me to take them back. I felt bad, but I never did it. Because I would just do it again to them. And I wasn't going to hurt them twice." I ranted, as Chase nodded.

"Guess we both have relationship problems." He said, earning a small giggle from myself.

"Guess we do." I said as grabbed my bag, which Chase quickly took from me as I glared at him.

"A lady should never carry her own bags." Chase replied, as I rolled my eyes and shoved his shoulder.

"Whatever." I mumbled, while I fiddled with my keys to open the door. No one seemed to be home yet, and I was glad because of it. If they saw I came here with yet again another boy, they would automatically assume that I was dating him.

"Thinking about us, together?" He whispered, scaring the living daylights out of me. I hit his arm.

"No. I was just thinking about how much I cant stand you." I said firmly, crossing my arms.

"Oh please Bree. Admit it. You need me." He smirked as my eyes grew wider.

"Are you kidding? I don't need you!" I shrieked at chase, trying to wipe the smirk off his face. I failed miserably.

"Oh, I think you do. Your just so independent that you have brainwashed yourself into thinking otherwise." Chase said, sliding his arms around my torso, trapping me in his strong, yet gentle arms.

"No, I dont need you to survive Chase. Im capable of doing anything I want, without a man." I said softer, feeling intoxicated from his cologne.

"So your going to spend the rest of your life in the clouds, with no true love whatsoever?" He whispered, his lips grazing the end of my ear.

"Yes. Ive tried to have true love and I always ended up hurting others. Its better if I just stop and be alone, no one gets hurt." I whispered, putting my hands gently on his chest

"You were with the wrong person then, Bree. You want true love, you gotta find it. You just have to see whats In front of you..." He whispered lightly, before pulling me closer to him.

My back hit up against the wall. I slid my arms around his neck, not realizing what I was doing. I wasn't thinking. The only thing I was focusing on was how much I loved the feel of his arms around me. How good his lips looked, just inches away from mine. But they would be even better if they were connected.

We slowly started to move closer, our lips grazing each others.

Then Adam walked in, holding his girlfriend, Danielle's, hand.
