my great great grandmother, ill for quite a while fell into a coma for several days, my great great grandfather couldn't believe it. she was his one true love for the past 55 years, they where married for so long it had seemed like they knew eachothers thoughts.

after the doctor pronounced her dead my grandfather couldn't believe it, there was no way his one true love was dead. he insisted she wasn't dead he was so so sure she wasn't. after a while the doctors had to pry him away from her "corpse."

back in those days they didn't drain the bodily fluids or anything they do now. they got a proper coffin for the body and put the corpse in its proper resting place.

my grandfather still refused to believe, my mother told me the story about how he had to be sedated throughout the processes. his wife was buried while he was asleep in bed.

that night he had a horrible nightmare, it was of my great-great grandmother hysterically clawing her way out of the coffin. the next day he called the doctor insisting they bring the coffin back up, but they refused.

he had the same nightmare for two weeks until they finally agreed to bring the coffin back up. the coffin was pried open and to everyone's horror there where long scratch marks along the coffin and my great great grandmothers nails broken and bent back.

mother says it's just a story her grandmother used to tell her, just a tale she would tell me. but i refuse to believe so....
