Aphmau's P.O.V
I sat a few blocks away from Phoenix Drop, humming to myself. The sun sank over the tree tops telling me it was time to get going. I got up and looked back. The sky was a canvas, full of gorgeous water colors. I smiled and walked back towards Phoenix Drop. The wind blew my hair and almost the flower crown off my head. I stepped into the village grounds and was immediately greeted by Laurence.
"Lady Aphmau!" He said. "There is a matter that must be taken care of this instant!" He looked at me and I sighed.
"Laurence no," I said and pushed past him. "Lady Aphmau," Laurence pushed. "No," I said. "I need to get to Levin and Malachi. They won't go to bed unless I tuck them in."
"But-" Laurence started but I cut him off. "Laurence this conversation is over, now I will be back in a hour." I turned and walked away.

"Mom will you tell us a story?" Malachi asked as I pulled the covers to his chest. "Yeah!" Levin yelled jumping up and down in his bed. "Story!" I smiled at him. "Okay," I finally said. And I began to tell them a story. It was about a guard and his Lord, and how he protected her no matter what happened.
"Is that one about Laurence?" Malachi asked. I guess he really wanted Laurence to be his father. "No," I said slightly embarrassed. "That was about no one in particular."
Malachi looked disappointed. I kissed them both goodnight. I glided out the door, and to the gates, were Laurence waited. "Lady Aphmau!" Laurence said. Is that all he says I thought. "I told Dante you would never make it!" "What is so important I had to cut time short with my boys," I asked. "Someone named Jeffrey The Golden Heart wishes to speak with you," he said. My eyes widened at the sight behind him. Jeffrey The Golden Heart stood behind Laurence, Dante and Garroth on either side of him while he held a toddler in his arms.
