Chances H.S

chapter one

I try to avoid eye contact as i rush through the halls filled with teenagers. keep your head down don't look them in the eyes i keep repeating to myself in my head. the faster i get out the easier i can avoid him. "Harry" no no no this is what i was trying to avoid. i try to walk faster but I'm quickly stopped when a hand is placed on my shoulder forcing me to stop dead in my tracks. "Hi Oliver" i say through gritted teeth.

"Where are you off to?" he asks innocently.
don't tell him. he's just trying to get you to tell him so he can get the answers to the homework i tell myself.

Oliver was in the same grade as me. I've only met him this year when we got partnered up in a biology project. i look up at him, taking in his appearance. He had these mesmerizing blue eyes that seem to put me in a trance every time i look at them. He was skinny but also had a pretty decent build. Easily towering over me being only 5'7 and him 6'1, Wearing black skinny jeans, a black t-shirt with a flannel tied around his waist. Hair neatly combed and sides shaved as always. He was without a doubt, one of the most handsome guys I've laid my eyes on.

"harry?" Oliver repeats my name interrupting my thoughts.

"home Oliver. Im going home."
"oh, well theres a party tonight at my place and i was wondering if you wanted to go" he asks me. shyly handing me a piece of paper with what i guess has his address written on it.

"Me? you want me to attend your party?" i ask frantically, not sure what to think about his invite. Im not exactly popular and Oliver and i aren't exactly friends. yeah we have a few conversations here and there but he's never asked me to hang out or invited me to anything before.
"Well yeah. I never see you at any parties so i thought it'd be nice to invite you out. Will you come? please" He pleads, looking at me with those gorgeous blue eyes. say no say no i tell myself but my mouth seems to have a mind of its own "sure" i blurt out. shit shit shit what have i done.

"Great!" He smiles showing off his dimples and his eyes lighting up automatically. "see you tonight" he adds before turning and walking off towards the doors. What have i gotten myself into i sigh and continue walking towards the door.
