I arrived at the front doors of the school and was greeted by some seniors. They seemed so optimistic about our presence. The further I went into the school the more I was bombarded by my peers. They covered my face with face paint and gave me this sticker that represented this miraculous school. We then scurried to the gym like the terrified mice that we are.
Every student and facility filled every square foot of that gym. Which made it impossible not to be touching someone. It was so cramped in there that it felt as if I was wearing a full body snow suit in a sunai. I was practically gasping for air but from the looks of everyone around me they felt the same way.
Suddenly the boom of the principal's voice echoed throughout the room like a nuclear explosion."welcome students and facility to the first of many days at NCHS (North Carolina High School)." Everyone around me started screaming and clapping like it was some major accomplishment to attend this school.
"After your name is called get up and go to your home room class." His voice was extraordinarily annoying to me I don't know why but it was."Vicky Anderson, Andy Andrews." At this point I was just completely focused on not passing out from heat exhaustion that I didn't hear anything else until "John Belker" was called. I got up and departed from the room as quickly as physically possible.I was so relieved about leaving that room that I think I cried a little bit on the inside.
So I marched down the hall and up the stairs trying to navigate my way to room 208. Ok so there's room 204, 205, 206, 213.... For some reason I guess they decided to skip a bunch of rooms to confuse us even more then we are. So I started wondering around the school in search of my homeroom, like a lost child in search of his mother at the local super market. A girl approached me she must of been a sophomore or a senior. she wore a black skirt and a blue and white top. Her light brown hair flowed freely down her back, which perfectly matched her eyes. She looked directly at me and said "are you lost little fella." That really caught me off guard no one really talked to me like as if I was from an inferior species before. Coming from her though it didn't really bother me that much."hahaha yeah i'm looking for room 208."Thats on the completely other end of the school." She still sounded very condescending but all I could do was smile. I started to blush I could feel it but I was hoping she didn't notice."I can take you to your class if you want." Yeah i'd like that." So we ventured down the hall around a couple turns then went down the stairs and finally arrived at my desired location.
"Well here is your homeroom." "Thank you ahh sorry I didn't catch your name." She started to giggle. "Megan and what's yours?" "I'm John" "well it's nice to meet you john i'll see you around."I watched her walk away then finally entered my homeroom. As I was walking in I seen what appeared to be a bear and a man fused into one menacing hybrid. He was the hairiest human being I have ever seen in my entire life. It covered every visible aspect of his skin. Except for a few patches on his hands and face. It was black and extraordinarily curly. Oddly enough though he smelled absolutely amazing, like freshly made chocolate cheesecake. I just stopped and stood there dumbfounded inhaling that miraculous scent that corsed through my entire body. "Would you like to take a seat?" his voice was also very unusual it sounded like as if someone was scraping their fingernails down the side of a chalkboard.
"Oh yeah sorry sir" So I wandered over to the seat in the far right corner of the classroom. I like to sit up front because my eyesight is only adequate. Any further back and the board turns into one big blurry blob. I had glasses that I could wear but I choose not to wear them because they make me feel too nerdy.
"Attention everyone my name is Mr. Hardwald and I am your four year homeroom, Here are your schedule for this semester if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask." Once the hairy neanderthal gave me my schedule I analyzed it for any possible errors. Surprisingly there wasn't any I got every course that I could moderately tolerant physics, gym, physcology and writing. I was quite overjoyed with my schedule. This school did not suffer from a high level of incompetence unlike my previous endeavors. They messed everything up I only got one of my desired classes. Everyone apart of that school both faculty and students were morons excluding a few outliers of course. The teachers couldn't teach anything correctly if there life depended on it. The cafeteria food tasted like dried up playdough and cardboard, but worst of all was the principal. He acted as if he was a sinister dictator that ruled over the entire school and everyone it. I'm so glad im away from that hippocratic school.
