Chapter 1/Part 1- Introduction to Dan

Dan Howell seems like your average teenager. He's 16, "young and dumb," flirty, blah blah blah, all that other useless shit the he will definitely regret.
But (surprise plot twist) Dan's a douchebag.

You see, Dan's father- Jacob Howell- is one of the richest men in the entirety of England.

Dan has lots of "friends" as his parents call them. Ashton and Carson, the second and third biggest fuckboys in the area- behind Dan only- are his two closet trouble makers.

He was definitely blessed with good looks. Beautiful chocolate brown eyes, pale skin, and curly brown hair that could make anyone swoon (yes I'm using that literally fite me)

But people only like him because of his exterior beauty and sex appeal.

Dan calls it his mask. He morphs himself to fit society's expectations of him. Stuck up, stupid, trouble causer, and good at getting girls into his bed.

That's all people see. That's all Dan let's them see.

So in the following story, we retell the events that inspired Dan to let two very special people see further than the mask.

Chapter 1/Part 2- Introduction to Phil

Phil Lester isn't the type you'll see partying. He's kindhearted and humble.

His favorite activities include making and playing dolls with his sister Marie, fishing with his brother Martyn, and playing soccer with a beat up football alongside his friends.

His hometown isn't much to boast about, but Phil's proud of it.
It's pretty much about 16 small houses in a tiny town almost no one knows about called Greyson Creek.

But despite his miniature beginnings, Phil has big dreams, and he plans to start on those by going to Harvard University in London England.

Chapter 1/ Part 3- Introduction to Hazel

Hazel Easton has a shitty life.

Her father is an abusive alcoholic, her mother is dead, and no one else wants to take her. Given, she doesn't blame them. She isn't exactly without her issues.

Hazel mostly has to steal to get the money to move to London and start at Harvard. She buys the cheapest things she can get away with, has two jobs, and is signed up for multiple poverty charities.

She's broken and battered, but still fighting.
