It was pitch black. The room I was currently in was small, cold. No windows, no light, just a hard wooden floor and cold brick walls around me. I was sitting on a bed, which had a squeaky mattress. Hours went by as I waited, slightly getting inpatient he was suppose to be here hours ago. I took a look around the room, it usually gives me chills but this time it was different, this time I was willingly waiting, as of today I would of gain my freedom. I took a deep breath and I could see it forming in front of me. I rub my exposed elbows trying to hit up my body. I hated this room and I hated being in it all the time, not being able to go outside of course I would wonder around the house but that's only if the guests and followers were not here, other then I would have to sit in my room, yes this pitch black coldness is my said bedroom. I run a hand through my brownish wavy hair awaiting. Another hour went by and I suddenly heard footsteps coming from outside of my door. I bit down on my lip, holding in my breath, without blinking the door open, a bold head peaks through the door, no emotions on his face. Small smile formed on my lips I waved my hand at him welcoming him to enter but he stayed right by the door, his head still peaking into my bedroom. "It's time." His voice was strong, yet it had a high pitch to it which always wanted to make me laugh but I couldn't I wouldn't dare. I nodded my head at the figure, quietly getting off my bed, the mattress beneath me squeaking as I got off. I tip toe'd over to the door, licking my dried lips, the man in the door looked at me, I could tell he was smiling, yet I couldn't see his smile in the darkness.

"Ah, my child, you grew up very well. I am proud." His sneaky voice spoke up, a hint of happiness could of been heard. He placed his cold palm on my shoulder as he lead me out of my bedroom. "Make me proud." He said coldly, as if I had already failed him once he saw me in the sun set light. I nodded my head, small smile on my pinkish lips as I head down to the living room area, there were 11 people, all wearing hoods and masks. They were all standing in what looked like an uncompleted circle. I let out a gasp as their heads snapped towards me, I didn't say a word I stood in the middle of the circle, my left arm was out in front of me as I waited, all the people standing around had their wands out pointed at me. One wrong move and I could be dead, I thought to myself. Few seconds later a figure was in front of me, he stood there as if he wasn't sure what he was doing. His bold head tilt to the side as he took out his wand, looking straight into my eyes, I could feel them burning my soul inside me. He took my arm in his cold hand and began cursing some words underneath his breath, later I could hear all of the 11 people shout out a word that I couldn't understand and then there it was, the dark mark. Everyone in the room cheered and it made me smile, I must of made him proud as his lips curved into a soft smile, he came over to me and hugged me tightly, next thing I knew a woman with blonde hair came rushing to me, she got onto her knees and hugged me as well, it was both of my parents, showing me how proud they were of me.

"Violet!" My mother said, happiness was filling her face as she stare at me. "I want you to know that even if I wasn't able to see you for the past 13 years I do love you." She said before her head turned to my father who just nodded. "You will be attending Hogwart's, temporarily. " My father added with no expression on his face this  time. "You shall not speak of your parents, or you shall not make friends. You will be there to make us proud and to learn magic, I know I should of let you go when it was the right time, but you will be joining in 5th year." I nodded my head, I parted my lips to speak but before I could a house elf appeared behind my mother. Rosie was her name, the elf looked sad but then again all of them did, she gave me a friendly look and spoke. "Miss, your Hogwart's clothing and robes are already packed in your trunk." She then turned to my father not daring to look him in the eyes she said quietly. "I found that wand for miss that you asked for sir." She said handing over the wand to me, it was long, made out of dark oak, it wasn't packed in a box and it has scars all over it. I couldn't help and gasp as I held it a strong feeling went over me as if I was about to get electrocuted.

It was getting late, I stayed downstairs with my mother and father who introduced me to the other 11 adults that were here also. I politely said my goodnight's and went upstairs to my room, tomorrow was the big day. The day where I go outside, into the big world. "I'm going to Hogwart's" I whispered to myself as I lay down on my squeaky bed, smile filled my face as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
