"Hey!" I said to my two best friends, Emily and Kate, as they walked up to my seemingly dull grey house. Upstairs my room is paint splattered, with a shattered record wall mural, and Halloween makeup galore, and creepy contacts, with the bright neon LED launchpad playing in the background. Around my neck are the super colorful, paint splattered-headphones I always have, and I'm wearing the paint-splattered panda sweatshirt. When they rang the doorbell, I was in the middle of doing Halloween doll makeup, with a cracked and missing eye, which was black, and powder-white face. When I opened the door, they were kind of scared at first, then realized it was me.
"Woah!" yelled Emily and Kate, as Kate's long hair hit Emily in the face as she hopped backwards in surprise.
"Sorry about how I look, I was testing this out" I said.
" You actually look pretty epic!" said Emily, as she tucked a blue and brown piece of her hair behind her ear. She, out of the three of us has the longest hair, usually curly, left long, or in braids.
"Let me take this off" I said as I began to remove the makeup from my face. I left the contact in because it looked pretty awesome. "Wanna see something new I learned on my launchpad?" I asked.
"Sure" exclaimed Emily.
As I did the demo for them, I realized someone was watching us from outside. I mentioned this to the girls, and they both said in unison,
"It could be a stalker!"
"I hope not!" I explained sounding anxious
After a few hours of us messing around, they had to go home.
The Next Day
"Roll-call!"
"Anthony!" "Here!"
"Emily!" "Here!"
"Kate!" "Here!"
. After my teacher called attendance, I began an assignment. That's when Em called me over to talk.
"What's up?"
"Nothin" "how ab-"
"Anthony,Kate, and Emily, please report to the office immediately"
"Oh no!" "What could they want?"
I always got nervous when I got called down to the office. When the three of us got there, there were five government agents. I couldn't read their name tags, but the principal introduced them. After that, the government agents ushered us into a room, where there was the president! (I should've mentioned this earlier but) we were in the martial arts club, were trained in martial arts and had multiple trophies.
The president explained, "we are going to send you back in time to fight with the Americans, and kill the Nazis. You will be provided with weapons, clothes, and food, and each of you will get to choose your weapons or we can make custom made weapons. You will go undercover as a Nazi (Kate), Homosexual (Me) or a mental patient (Emily) at one of the ten camps and kill the Nazis. If you want us to turn any of your possessions into weapons you may give them to us now. And we will give them to you tomorrow or Wednesday." He said.
"You will also get a pill that will give you abilities to make you invincible against guns and everything. Now you may give us your items to become weapons,"
"Will you accept this mission?"
"Yes" we all said in unison.
"May we go get our things?" I asked
"Yes" he replied. I ran back to my locker and grabbed my headphones, and the two Chinese Fans my grandma gave me. Emily and Kate, grabbed their things. As I handed my things to the President , I gave him my bracelet as an afterthought. Our parents were notified during school and that evening they reluctantly agreed after begging. The three of us went to bed excited for tomorrow.
The next day, we got called down to the office again. We were each brought into different rooms. I sat down and the President then showed me my belongings which were now weapons. My bracelet became a whip that had a dagger at the end, which connected to my wrist. My headphones also became a similar whip, and my Japanese fans became weapons with blades for fins. Emily got a microphone whip with a dagger at the end, a sword, and headphones like mine. Kate got the same things as me. After that, we got our clothes and pills, which we took right away.. The three of us were told we were going to be taken to the machine. We were taken to an underground lab that had many things going on. We entered the time machine and were taken to the time of the Nazis.
We ended up on a cattle car, still in our school uniforms, which they told us would fit in, because the agents also altered them so that we looked like any other prisoner to the soldiers but we would recognize each other. We were overcome by the stench of human excrement, sweat and blood. Thankfully they also gave us these really good smelling things which smelled like vanilla, which I placed everywhere and everyone looked at us with wide eyes.
I stood up and exclaimed to all of them, "We're from the allies, we're here to help you escape from the camps, ok? No worries. We are here to defeat and kill the Nazi."
"I'm Anthony" I said, "here's Kate, and Emily." They all waved at us with still, wide eyes.
The cattle car stopped and the soldiers pushed us out into a clearing. We marched into a gated camp and they had us line up. One of the Nazi soldiers, walked over and grabbed my arm, to see if I had a tattoo. I didn't. The Kapo came over and went to hit me with his club. I dodged.
The Kapo yelled angrily "What are you doing?! Guards! Kill him!"
The soldiers all around me raised their guns to shoot. The girls saw this and rushed over to me.
The Kapo got off his horse, prowled over to me, and tried to hit me as I got my whip bracelet out.
"Nice try!" I yelled sarcastically. He looked me right in the eye. I hit him in the eye.
"Why would you do that?!"he asked
"You looked at us funny." I said,
As everyone looked at me with wide eyes, he went to kill me as I dodged his hit and the three of us attacked him. The guards shot at us but we dodged their bullets. I took off, and ran toward the guards. They all tried to shoot me. I cut the first guard's hand off. Me, Emily and Kate got the others after that.. Later when a different Kapo came through the barracks they woke everyone up asking for the three of us. We all walked up. The Kapo slapped each of us. I got really offended, I kicked him. He fell And Ihalf- yelled
"Oh, I'm sorry, did that hurt?"
He got up and hit me in the face. We wouldn't get any marks from anything thanks to those pills. He then yelled at me. He then said I was going to work extra hard tomorrow.
The next day. We never separated. Period. We were sent to the dingy salt mines. So I had my own pick ax and it was one of my weapons. (which I learned at the camp) I took it out and worked slowly. One of Nazis called me over, and I looked at him straight in the eye. He slapped me.
He said "don't look at me like that!"
And began to beat me. The girls saw this and came to my rescue as everyone stared at us with wide eyes. I grabbed my pick ax and jammed it in his skull. His body froze. I threw him to the ground. He hit the ground with a thud
The next day, we were sent into the salt mines again, and as I was working, I caught sight of the hottest guy I've ever seen. He's got these piercing blue eyes, bleach-blonde hair, square jaw, and bulging arms and torso. So I decided to work by him, and I began to ask about his name and age and everything, he told me his name was Max, and that he was 15, (this is honestly getting better and better). He began to work again and so did I and I asked him why he was brought to the camps, he said he was a Homosexual. (OMG EVEN BETTER!) and we hit it off somehow, and now we are dating and Emily and Kate are fine with it. Now the four of us never separate from each other, no matter what. Even in the dirty-smelly- yet oddly peaceful and colorful salt mines. I had learned one day that he had a genetic disorder in which, no matter how much gas/ chemicals he was exposed to, he wouldn't faint, hallucinate, etc etc. One night while we were all sleeping, I got woken up by something, I'm not sure what but then I went back to sleep, and about an hour later, I woke up suddenly, and looked around. I didn't see Max, and He wasn't in his bed. I thought he had gone to the bathroom, and I went to the bathroom to see if he was there, and he wasn't. I freaked out, and woke the other two up.
" Wake up! I can't find Max!" I said, anxiously.
"Ok, Ok, I'm up!" they both quietly exclaimed in unison.
"It smells like gas.....I think I know where he is!" I exclaimed, very nervously.
We made our way to the gas chamber and heard someone coming, so we hid behind a pillar.
"Let's go!" I heard someone say,
"Let me go!" I heard Max say, as he was taken out of the gas chamber.
"Why are you alive?!" The Nazi asked.
"It's a genetic defect!" Max yelled, sounding frantic.
"Well, well, you may just go to Dr. Mengele" said the Nazi.
"Please no!" Max pleaded as he got put into a truck.
"Let's go," I whispered to Emily and Kate. We had Kate grab a few Nazi uniforms. We got onto a truck, and left to follow the other truck, to Achwshictz.
When we got there, we had gotten out, changed and discovered the other truck, and saw the nazis take Max out of the back, limp. "Oh no!" I exclaimed, as we began to follow them. They brought Max into a hospital-looking room. As he woke up, The three of us were standing around him.
"No!" he yelled.
"No, no it's just me, Anthony, with Kate and Emily." I said. As I brushed a bleach-blonde lock away from his eye
"Oh hey!" Max replied, sounding still nervous.
We heard someone walking, so we hid.
"I'm sorry" I mouthed to him. Then Josef Mengele walked in.
" Who do we have here?!" he demanded, sounding ominous.
"You won't win" Max spoke, determined
" You won't put a hand on me!"
. " Oh really?!" said Dr. Freakshow. "Who's gonna save you now?!" He exclaimed sarcastically.
"Better watch what you're saying there you freak, unless you want to be the one we're experimenting on!" Max exclaimed.
"And who's gonna help you?!" asked Mengele
"No, the question is, who's gonna help YOU! Dr. Freakshow?!" asked Max.
" I've got an entire army!" screamed Dr. Freakshow.
"Well, for-your-information-freakshow, My Boyfriend will stop you!" exclaimed Max
"And who's this "Boyfriend"?!" said Dr. Freakshow.
"Anthony!" Max questioned, as I popped up from behind a pillar.
"And I didn't come alone!" I yelled. "Girls?" I said, sounding confident with a smirk on my face.
"Well well, three more test subjects." Freakshow said.
" If you think you're gonna do your freaky experiments on us, you're wrong!" I half yelled.
" What do you think you're gonna do? Kill me?" screamed Freakshow, sarcastically.
" That's exactly what we plan to do!" the four of us exlaimed in unison.
" You can try, but you won't succe-" exclaimed Freakshow as I slapped him across the face.
"Shut up and fight us already!, Oh, right, I'm sorry, it looks like Freakshow hasn't fought with a real person before." Kate said, mockingly.
Then we all fought him. First I slapped him with my bracelet dagger, as Emily hit him with the knife-type-fans. As Kate and Max also fought with him, as Max stabbed Freakshow with a scalpel
. "Looks like the doctor is becoming the patient!" Max said.
We fought him and left him as a pile on his very own Surgery table, with a scalpel in him. After that, we were teleported back to the future (UGH MARTY MCFLY WHY).
As we all sat on my porch, (Including Max. My parents were fine with him living with us and that I date him) Max, cuddling me, and Emily and Kate sitting on my backyard porch, as we were all sipping tropical lemonade in the summer sun, happy as could be, as me and Max both said "Anything's possible when you're in love" and Max nuzzled my cheek, and we all vowed to stay together forever, and that day, I learned, to be happy for the rest of my life that I live in the culture I do, and not have to worry about the Holocaust happening again.
