Getting ready for school is always a hassle. I'm always up late, so I'm constantly tired. And then I have to deal with my hair, my makeup, my outfit. It's hard to do in one hour. But today, I was in a hurry. It was the day I was going to state with my choir. When I was happy with my appearance, I grabbed my phone, and headed downstairs. I had about 5 minutes until the bus came, so I just grabbed a granola bar, and found my sister watching some movie. "Hey Lydia," I mumbled. She simply nodded and turned back to her movie. We had been identical twins, the only difference with us are our hair color. I had dyed my hair pink, and hers was black. "C'mon, lets not be late." I said. She groaned in protest, but stood up, and walked out the door, her headphones blaring a song I didn't know the words to. I quickly followed her, shutting the door and locking it behind me. "Come on, Madeline." called Lydia, seeing the bus approaching our stop. I quickly jogged up the sidewalk, making it just in time for the bus. Mr. Davidson smiled politely, and Lydia rushed past him, sitting by her boyfriend in the main back seat. I found an empty seat across from Lydia, and sat down, placing my bag beside me so no one would sit by me. I pulled out my phone, and put my headphones in, putting my playlist on shuffle, and awaiting the arrival of my best friend, Amberlyn. There was 3 more stops before she got on, which was very boring. Usually it's quiet in the mornings, but not when Lydia is here. She's loud, funny, and likable. Amberlyn finally gets on the bus, and sits with me, a wide grin on her face. "What's that smile about?" I question, cocking an eyebrow. "Tell you later.." she whispers, giggling.
