I can feel the butterflies in my stomach at the thought of going to the wolf pack, all the guys seem to trust this Adam and being the alpha dose give him some points I just hope the Docs right and his not blaming us.
Chap 15
“Will you please just go” I huff out at Drew trying but no succeeding to push his towards the door
“I don’t like leaving you like this, you don’t know anybody here” Drew’s arms cross his chest stubbornly.
We arrived at the doc’s house 30 minutes ago, which just so happens to be smack dab in the middle of wolf territory. I shouldn’t be surprised really we kept our healers house central in the pack to. It just makes sense, healers aren’t natural fighters and without them where would we be we can’t very well go to human DRs or to the hospital that would just cause way too many questions. So our DRs and healers are guarded excessively. I’m actually quite surprised that the alpha let doc travel to us the past few times.
“I will be fine, I know doc” I’m really starting to get frustrated with him now. I know he wants to go and speak to Adam about everything that has happened.
After a couple of moments of Drew’s piercing stair he must have seen the frustration in my eyes because he sighs, drops his arms to his sides them walks over to stand in-front of me.
“Ok kitten, I don’t mean to be so over bearing I just worry about you”
“I know but we are literally in the middle of wolf territory. I will be ok” I also let out a breath and lean my forehead on his chest as he raps his arms around me.
“Call if there’s anything wrong?” Drew asks the doc, but the tone of his voice makes it obvious it’s not a question.
Doc jones nods his head in acknowledgement
“I will”
Drew pulls me closer for a few moments before kissing my forehead and striding out of the room.
“He cares about you a great deal” Docs soft voice brings my attention away from watching Drew’s retreating figure.
“We have known each other since we were cub” I shrug. Doc just chuckles and shakes his head.
“Shall we” he sweeps his arm towards the back of the house witch leads onto what Nathan tells me is the pack clinic.
The clinic looks like it’s an extension that has been added onto doc Jones house but has its own entrance from the back.
“This is nice” I comment as doc opens the door and we step into the clinics reception area.
It’s not an overly large room but it does have a welcoming feel about it. There is the reception desk facing the door as you walk in, and instead of those uncomfortable plastic chairs you always seem to get in waiting rooms there are two brown leather couches. The walls are also plastered in what looks like pictures of the pack. There are family photos and pictures that look like they were taken at parties and BBQs. This seems like a really happy pack, it makes me miss my own pack seeing all the smiling faces of the different pack members.
“You must be Faith” a soft voice from behind the reception desk draws my attention away from all the smiles on the walls.
I turn towards the voice and see a beautiful lady standing behind the desk
