The knife flew past my face, a few inches closer and it would have sunk into my cheek, or even worse, my eye, instead it hit the tree behind me. I didn't have time to waste eye googling the remarkable shot however, so I continued doing what I had been doing for the past few hours, I ran. I ran deep into the large cluster of trees, branches reaching out and tearing at my clothes and skin as if in attempt to slow me, but those attempts were pointless, through the little cracks in the darkness I saw the sky, the blood red streaking across the sky as the sun began to set, I was running out of time, when the sun set it would be night, and the night was 'his' domain, it would be all over by then.
