When I think back to it, it happened so quick none of us could react, it was a calm, normal day and most people were sat at home,like a normal evening, when the the whole village got shrouded in a deep shadow...
I was round my friend, hollie's house and we were helping her parents in the blacksmiths under her house when it happened, her younger sister Izzy was sat playing with my younger sister, Lilyana, we heared a loud noise, like footsteps that sent the whole street jumping, it felt that way anyway.
It was at the edge of the village by the time anyone could do anything, the soldiers that protected us charged at it, "take Izzy, hollie, Allie and Lilyana the basement, there's enough supplies down there to last us a few days" it was Hollie's father. It was then that I caught my first glimpse of the monster, 'a m-monster? No, it looks like its made of sponge?!?!'
