The Tome of Burg

The Genesis of Orc’Kai is as such

The warrior of the light raised forth from the soil the brothers Tek’eli and their names were Garin and Vegnar, The Warrior of light commanded that they plow the field and tend to the beast, and from the soil the Light Warrior raised up two mates for each, For Vegnar there came Vulana, and Malena; and for Garin there was Nikena, and Kapina.

The Warrior of light ordered Vegnar to the Dessert, and Garin to the mountains, and Ranjul the oldest son of Garin and Kapina to the swamps. The Light shined on the Kai and the light was virtuous and the Kai was Worthy. The Bounty was good.

With the bounty came greed and jealousy, the Kai grew apart and soon there was great revulsion and hatred between the children of Garin and Vegnar.

It came to pass that within the swamp was a place of great evil and dark magic and from the murk there was risen the Mare folk.In the third generation of Ranjul, King Vagor would succumb to their tricks and would cause great sorrow among the Kai.

The Relic of the Spark of Delgonhad come into the possession of the mad king and with it he found great power. The power being mighty, but not of the Kei, had made him bloodthirsty and gluttonous for power.

His people came to be called Sherk Orc ‘Kai which was the Kai of the axe in the ancient tongue. So great was the division of the Kai.

The Sherk Found alliance with the Marefolk and the underworldings to form a great army and this army came to be known as Sherk Arr'aerk’ Brakav, The Alliance of the Bloody Axe.

Soon Vagor was lustful in his greed and craved the lands beyond the murk, he gathered his armies and set forth to conquer his kin, and he entered the Darkae'r Mountains to make war upon his kin.

In this time the throne of the Kai of the mountain Orcs who had come to be known as Darkae'r Orc’ Kai, belonged to Azeod, of the second generation of Garin through Nikena. The Armies of the Darkae'r were strong and marched under their banners to meet the invaders.

Routed in defeat Azeod beckoned to his kin Rakzul of the Desert Orcs who were then known as Darrad Orc ’Kai who was of the 4th generation of Vegnar through Malena.

Rakzul who had hid jealousy of the stronger Azeod did not heed his blood plea.

The noble Azeod died in battle and it was known as The Kai Wars. He was much heralded for his valor and was rewarded with a grand statue, when the evil Rakzul spoke of him, it was in the terms of the great and it was known that his respect was merited and sincere.

The Warrior of Light wept and punished the Darrad for their treachery with a great fire and famine. Soon the Kia of Darrad fled their homelands as refugees to the mountains with their kin.

Branded as a coward Rakzul was drown as a commoner at the hands of the new King Vagor, and denied a Kings Pyre. The Kia was whole again.

It would come to pass that Kagar who was of the 6th Generation of Vegnar through Vulana had conspired with the Marefolk and usurped Vagor by poison.

He conspired with the Goblins and they too were enlisted to the Sherk Arr'aerk’ Brakav.

So it came to be that the Army of the Kei fell into the darkness and became mighty, but the thirst grew and demanded more, and the Army Sherk Arr'aerk’ Brakav ventured out beyond the Va’rek mountains and into the lands of the Dwarven Charcat Riders and the battles were great and many died; Dwarf and Orc.

The Light Warrior gazed upon the bloodshed and knew that the balance was not fair, he bestowed the light upon the Dwarves and they became great, he then gave them powerful allies in the Order of the Rosarin, thus the Humans came to battle with the Kai.

And this came to be known as The G’oar Wars.

There was great sadness and troubles throughout the lands and though the Dwarves and the Humans proved to be formal they were not the match for the Relic, the Light Warrior seen this and called for the Dragonfolk of the Frozen Mountain, and bestowed upon them the Spark of Antuin and the battle was turned.

There came a great wind and a mighty cleric and his name was Fanaio and he was the The Light Warrior in the guise of a human, he cast a spell of banishment and forced the peoples of the Sherk Arr'aerk’ Brakav to exile underground in the Northern wastelands.

A second spell and memories of the wars and the lost were expunged from thought and the pain was forgotten, to all but those chosen by the light to keep the history.

Fanaio then divided his power amongst the Clerics he had found to be worthy, and established the Council of Clerics in the 5 Dwarven Kingdoms, the smithy of the Sacred Forge in Durek, and he commissioned the Riders of the Sacred Forge with the powers to protect it.
