B. Scene
At 7:04 PM, a cold and windy night, two very studious children, Amy and Tyler are walking to the train station coming from the Specialized High School Program. Walking towards the train station, they start talking about their averages and their homework.
ACT I, SCENE I
Amy: I got an average of 87.2%, but I could have gotten higherif it wasn’t for those ghetto girls Bon Qui Qui and Tompromneesha.
Tyler: Yo, that was funny. (Tyler stops laughing and starts to get serious.) Amy, can I ask you something?
Amy: What is it Tyler? (In a geeky voice.)
Tyler: Ummmm…….. Amy, I sort of like you.
Amy: I like you too, Tyler.
Tyler: Well, will you go out with me?
Amy: Ummmmm………..
Tyler: This is very awkward.
Amy: Alright, Tyler. That’s so sweet! Gaalee!!(In a geeky voice.)
Tyler: Thank you so much, Amy!
Amy: What do we do next?
SCENE END
ACT I SCENE II
(Setting:Tyler takes Amy’s books and continues walking to the train station. Then, Shananay’s followers, Bon Qui Qui and Tompromneesha, walk toward Amy and Tyler.)
Tompromneesha: Well, look at what we have here girl? (In a ghetto accent)
Bon Qui Qui: Uh huh, we got the fat and the ugly!
Tompromneesha: Yup, I don’t know what Shanaynay sees in you Tyler.
Bon Qui Qui: Yeah, girl, dang! She got no taste.
Tyler: I am not ugly. If I’m ugly, then why do I have a girlfriend?
Bon Qui Qui: Oh yeah! And who is that?!
Tyler: My girl, Amy
(Amy is standing by the corner scared and starts thinking about what will happen.)
Tompromneesha: Hold up! What the heck did you just say?
Tyler: Did I stutter? I’m talking about my girl Amy!
Bon Qui Qui: I heard what you said, but your so-called ‘girlfriend’ didn’t seem to like it.
Tyler: (whispers to Amy) Amy aren’t you going to back me up?
Amy: Ummm…….I- I don’t know.
Tompromneesha: Oh, look at that. Your so-called ‘girl’ doesn’t even want to back you up. But you know who would back you up? Shanaynay.
Tyler: Shanaynay! Why would I go out with her?!
Amy: You know what, yes! I do go out with Tyler, and Shanaynay isn’t getting’ anybody.
Bon Qui Qui: What Shanaynay wants, Shanaynay gets!
Amy: Heck no! Did you hear what I just said?!
Bon Qui Qui: Oh no, booboo, oh no! Don’t get loud with me! DO NOT GET LOUD WITH ME!
Tompromneesha: Yeah, don’t play!
Tyler: Don’t talk to my girl like that!
(Scene: Leah, the person who laughs, overhears what’s going on, comes and start laughing)
Leah: Dang, this is mad funny!
Amy: I’m so sick and tired of you guys. Since you met Shanaynay, you guys just changed, and turned into a pack of bullies!
(Setting: Tompromneesha starts getting up in Amy’s face and Bon Qui Qui holds Tompromneesha’s back.)
Bon Qui Qui: She ain’t even worth it.
Tyler: You guys need to stop acting like you run everything! Because you sure don’t!
Amy: Yeah! Don’t you remember when we used to be friends and that people used to like you two!
Leah: It just got mad quiet!
Bon Qui Qui: You guys are right! We have changed Tamera.
Tompromneesha: Yeah, you’re right, Brandy. I guess Shanaynay, got the best of us. I’m sorry Tyler and Amy.
Bon Qui Qui: Yeah, I’m sorry too. Do you forgive us?
Tyler and Amy: Yeah, we do!
Leah: Aw!
Scene: Continue walking to the train station.
