That Summer

Chapter 1

I woke up feeling great but, I kinda had a bad feeling inside my gut I ignored it and went on with my morning. The first thing I go to in the morning is my phone (of course, I'm a teenage girl so that's just a typical thing for anyone like me to do.) Sorry to introduce a story like this than knowing my name or anything else about myself, so anyway here it goes... My name is Erin Lewis and I'm 15, with green eyes and blue hair.(and now back to the story) I get on my phone and I see I got a couple of messages from my boyfriend Cyle, he has been my boyfriend for about 3 1/2 years now September will be our anniversary, and I can't wait I love him so much I have no idea of what I would do without him. Cyle a little bit stupid but that's one of the reasons why I love him, I really hope he feels the same way. I finally open up his messages and I feel suddenly my knees are weak and I feel like I'm choking on my own tears and I fall on the ground. I begin to let my tears pour out. I tried to hold them back but, I didn't have the strength as soon as I read his message "Rinny babe... I'm sorry I'm breaking up with you."

I cried for about 30 minutes and then my mom came and got me to see if I was awake yet my mom said to me "Erin, sweety, are you awake yet?" I didn't answer, so you know what that means... she is coming in to my room. She said "Erin, today is the last day of school for you, you better get up." She walks into my room, and she sees me crying she comes over to comfort me and she asks what's wrong and I reply over my hyperventilaton "C-cyle." And then she immediately knew because my mom and I have this telepathic relationship because me being her oldest child and also her being a single parent. She is kinda like my bestfriend/parent at the same time. She said to me that she wanted to keep this a secret till the end of the day but I needed the cheering up so she said "I talked to Aunt Clara and she is willing to take you in for the whole summer in California so you guys can hangout. I mean you have talked to her since the Christmas party we had last year, so... what do you say? Yes?
My mom was looking at me with puppydog eyes and saying that Aunt Clara misses you.(I love my Aunt but, she's a little too much of a partier.) I said yes, but I thought to myself "Misses me?! Ha! She's so drunk she can barely even remember to buy food for her cat.

I go to school still thinking I should've finished reading his messages before I went to school so I walk into school and my "bestfriend" Julie comes running up to me crying and apologizing to me and I ask her what's wrong
Julie said" I had sex with your boyfriend.
She was stuttering and frantically moving around
She said" I don't how it happened it just went fast.
She was looking at the ground and then... you suddenly hear a smack and I look I see that I punched in the face. Then I pull her by her hair and then push her up against the school wall.
I sceamed at her "You little slut, I let you into my home and let myself trust you. Then you do this to me?!"
She said" I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to steal him from you.
I said" You little skank, you actually think he left me for you. Psst. Ha!"
She said" Well, I mean... come on... he would still be with you if it wasn't for me.
I said" That's not true. I guess he just likes ugly ass sluts like you.
I punched her in the face one last time before the Security guard and Vice Principle Carter pull me off of her and take me to the office to call my mom about what happened.

We get to the office and I call my mom telling her what happened and she said" That's it I'm coming to get you, you're done with this school for the rest of the year. I see how much this is hurting you and I knew I shouldn't have sent you to school today but, I was dumb and decided to send you to school.I'm going to see if Aunt Clara can take you earlier you need to get away for the summer. With 30 minutes left of the first period my mom shows up. She walks into the school saying Erin get in the car, you're going to california early. I get a bit excited, and I run to my mom.
She said" Erin, honeyget in the car. Momma has some business to take care of.
I believe that she was like in there for 40 minutes then, she finally came out and got into the car.
I asked her" What happened in there?
My mom nonshalantly answers" Oh, nothing I just reamed the Vice Principle a new asshole.
I asked" Why?
She said" Because he wasn't gonna punish Julie at all.
I sit there grinning because her, my mom got the Vice Principle to give the same punishment to Julie as they did me.
I left school knowing that I lost a friend and a boyfriend.
