The ground floor of the derelict home was drowning in cobwebs as darkness isolated the lone rocking chair perched in the centre of the dining hall which lay a few metres in front of the large, gothic, front door. As she gingerly stepped forward the creeping of the ancient floor boards broke the silence of which she had became accustomed to. Once she had reached the dining hall the scent of rotting flesh over took her senses making her forget about all the rats analysing her every move.
Once she had finally gathered the courage to investigate further she placed her shaking hand upon the rocking chair. The course wood felt rough and uncomfortable on her hand. After a few moments pondering on why the furniture was here she caught a glimpse of a blue light. This light took the form of a young woman; a kind, young woman whose lips curved slightly to almost resemble a smile. If Rose had any sense she would have stayed put, however she recognised this woman. It was her sister. The sister who went missing five weeks ago.
As she followed the spectre the smell of decaying flesh became more dominant, and all Rose could think about was trying not to be sick. But the sight she saw was a hundred times worse than any sort of smell, rodent or cobweb. The ghost of her sister led her through the wooden house to a minuscule, forsaken room. The sickening scent was at it's peak. Just as Rose was going to open the door the blue light simply passed through making the hallway pitch black. With her fear of the dark she burst into the small room to be greeted with her sisters body hanging from a rope, decomposing.
Letting out a shriek Rose collapsed to the ground only to be welcomed by the maggots who have been dining on her sisters corpse. A once angelic face and figure was now distorted with chunks of her physique missing.
