Honoka was a special case, one second she didn't care about anything, the next second she was crying on the floor because of a movie. Right now Honoka was wearing her regular cropped black jean jacket that still covered her arms, with a striped black and white shirt underneath. Her blue washed jeggings clung to her, and her black comfortable laced up boots was ratty from combat. Maybe Honoka was right, maybe we do need an update, it didn't really scream who we are. Well it screamed out who we used to be, but we would never want to go back to our past.
"Still stash your knives in weird places Hon-chan?" Chiyoko asked gathering her own weapons.
"Somethings will never change, that will be one of them for Honoka." Sumiye called from a hiding place typing away on her computer. "Guys its going to be a big wave. If you need backup, I'll use Field."
A wave of panic flooded through Chiyoko, Honoka, and I. The last time when we activated Field, Sumiye went into a depression and panic after. I guess after one little pep-talk it can boost her confidence, or maybe it was the fact that she may be able to see him.
The sound of an explosion filled the air, Border Agents will be here soon. Lets get this section done fast, no one needs to know about us yet.
"Want to have a competition?" I asked with a mischievous glint in my green eyes. Something was going to happen, 'Honoka if whatever happens next doesn't please you. Then I'll cook for the next few days.' I thought to myself while getting ready for battle.
"Hatsu, you may be 19, but I'm going to beat you like we are in an anime!" Chiyoko leaped into action taking down a trion soldier.
"Thats one for Chiyoko, better get moving my dear squad." Sumiye announced through our headsets.
"Sumiye, you just interrupted a good song!" Honoka's voice rang through our headsets as all of us separated ways.
The battle so far was barely anything compared to the battles we faced before. I used my modified kogetsu to slice through trion soldiers easily, sometimes having to use asteroid during a blind attack. I felt the sweat dripping down my neck, I started sprinting to the nearest trion soldier shown on the radar, only I got something better. Instead of one rabbit it was six rabbits, this was going to be fun.
I felt the air around me stand still as I closed my eyes and focused on the sounds of the battle. The loud whirring noises made from the rabbits swipes, the distant shouts from citizens, and the smooth slashes from their attacks. I opened my bright green eyes filled with determination, and stared at my opponents.
I then transformed my kogetsu into two medium daggers. Grabbing the hilt of the daggers, I threw one straight into a rabbit blasting its trion. I used my other to attack three other rabbits, knocking them down with my dagger and transforming my trion into stars. I rushed to my dagger stuck in the horrid soldier, but I wasn't fast enough and I felt a gash in my right hip. The open wound was a shock to me, but I felt the wound close quickly as my trion healed it, thanks side effect.
'I usually don't heal this quickly. Uh-oh, its my time of the season again. Dang, I just have to last for a little while and we can go through the procedure again. I really hate trion overload.' I thought to myself as I felt my trion overpowering me.
I took this opportunity to release part of my trion in bullet form and shoot it at the rabbits. I heard the familiar thud of a trion soldier falling, not bothering to change my blank expression. I guess I used more trion than I needed, there was a bright green beaker shining up higher than the apartment buildings.
