Joe and Andy never really heard Pete sing outside of concerts, but whenever they did it was always because Pete was singing to Patrick. It was when Patrick was laying against Pete, almost asleep, that he sang in the lightest, most gentle voice, coaxing Patrick to sleep.
Or when Patrick would bolt up in the middle of the night, shaking and covered in sweat. Pete always knew how to get him back to sleep, whether it be from lightly running his fingers through his hair, or lightly whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
And whenever Pete had a nightmare or a breakdown, Patrick knew how to calm him down. He knew exactly what to whisper or what tune to hum while hugging Pete to his chest. He knew what patterns to draw on Pete's skin as he sang to get him to relax.
Pete would always whisper cheesy romantic things in Patrick's ear, like, "Hey 'Trick.. I love you to the moon and back." Patrick would always laugh lightly and slap his arm before planting a kiss on his cheek. They knew each other like the back of their own hands.They knew what made the other angry, sad, or happy. They're each others moon and stars. And they'll never forget that.
