"Hey Mom?" I asked excitedly. "Yes honey what is it?" She replied seeming very busy at the moment but still decided to talk to me. I totally ignored that and still asked her my question.
"Hey so um what are we doing for vacation this year?" I asked. We normally go on a family vacation every year and go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
"Well actually I was going to ask you what you wanted to do this year." Uhh haven't thought about that. I normally just go with the flow. I guess that just the type of girl I am.
"I haven't really thought about where we should go." After all I'm not a very good decision maker. Last year I had to make the decision between Sea World or Disney World. I love Disney but guess which one I picked. Yup you guessed it, I picked Sea World. I'm so stupid sometimes.
After I told my mom that I had to have time to think about this she told me okay and that was it.
I went up to my room on the second floor of our house. I just recently redid my room. Now I have blue walls and white furniture. It looks quite nice if I do say so myself.
I jumped on my white bed with blue covers trying to act cool as if I totally wasn't.
I turned on my laptop and while that was turning on I decided to go on my Instagram and Facebook and just scroll through my feed.
My laptop finally turned completely on and I was ready for a while of research.
As soon as I clicked on Google I got a text message.
Alex my bestie😁: Hey what are doing this weekend. I need to talk to you ASAP!!
I quickly replied and told him that I had 0 plans and he needed to help me figure out this vacation situation.
Before you ask, Alex and I are just really really really good friends. He's like a brother to me and I'm just like a sister to him.
Well time for vacation searching.
After 2 hours if continuous research I came up with the conclusion that I went on every single website possible.
I found out that Key West was really nice and was not that far from where I live which is in Miami.
I texted Alex and asked him to come over so I could talk to him about it. He said sure and before I knew it he was coming through my window and into my room.
"Hey pretty thing." He told me and I rolled my eyes. "Hey Alex." I said and then giggled. "I wanted to ask you about something."
"Sure what is it babe?" He said smirking. "Stop calling me that!" I said scolding him. Even though I think it's cute when he says that I will not ever let him think that.
"Okay so back to what I was going to tell you. I found this place in Key West thats not that expensive and super pretty." I said emphasizing the word super.
"Well let me see it!" Alex said. I showed him all of the pictures if the resort, beach, and some local shops around it. "Maddison, I really like this! You know what would be a great idea? If you let me come with you! We can maybe even share a room." He spoke that last part so quickly it just sounded like gibberish.
"What did you say Alex? You spoke so quick I couldn't even hear you." I said.
"Never mind what I said. It doesn't matter." Alex said speaking louder so that I could understand him.
"So, how are you and Ally doing?" I asked without even thinking about what I just said. "We're doing just fine." He said and I instantly regretted asking him that.
Alex and Ally have been together for about 4 months but he said he's not really into it though. I can tell he still likes her but not nearly as much as he used to. I just don't understand how you can love somebody for a little while and then not like them the next.
"Alex I'm tired so goodnight." I said yawning. He tried climbing into my bed with me and I immediately shoved him if of it making him fall to the ground and laugh. I died laughing.
"Alex I'm so sorry but you seriously had that coming all along." "Alright fine I'm leaving now. Does that make you happy?" Alex said with a sad look on his face.
"It sure does." I responded still laughing. "Glad I could be of service to you." He responded with quite an attitude for a guy if I do say so myself. I just responded my rolling my eyes.
"Goodnight!" I yelled making sure he could hear me from his bedroom next door. "Goodnight." He yelled back. After that darkness took over me and I fell into a restful sleep.
